Job Description

  • Accountable to ensure all hoisting and lifting activities are carried out to the agreed LOLER Scheme of Compliance
  • To review and approve all lifting operations, lifting plans and risk assessments
  • Responsible for ensuring all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards
  • Carry out audits on lifting operations to ensure compliance
  • Liaise with Onshore Support and appropriate offshore departments for effective planning of Lifting Operations ensuring approvals in place where required
  • Accountable for the management of rigging loft, hoisting and lifting equipment and certification control, including fall arrest equipment
  • Responsible to ensure all activities prioritised by Services Co-ordinator are carried out as per instruction
  • Provide and approve all lift plans and provide adequate supervision when required
  • Assist 3rd Party contractors complete their thorough examination of hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Carry out regular rigging worksite visits to monitor and promote productive and safe working practices
  • Accountable for maintaining an end of trip written handover as per agreed format
  • Continually review and appraise platform riggers performance and VQ competence and provide feedback to Services Co-ordinator
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace
  • Support daily and weekly planning process as required
  • When applicable, carry-out a sufficient handover to delegated Nightshift Loler Supervisor
  • Responsible for ensuring platform rigging assessments carried as per competency framework
  • May be required to undertake the duties for relief periods of Deck Foreman and Services Co-ordinator
  • Carry out emergency response duties where necessary
  • Accountable for relevant safety critical activities as detailed in the Activity Catalogue
  • Knowledge, leadership and commitment to all Health and Safety Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

  • Moving Loads Level 3 VQ
  • Completed or working towards NVQ Discipline A1 Assessor
  • Lifting Plan/Risk Assessment Trained

Reporting to the OIM, you will monitor and control all hydrocarbon production and utility systems ensuring that production targets are achieved as defined. This is a staff role, 2/3 rotation and the company with a highly competitive salary & benefits package inclusive of stock & share options. Our client is keen to see technically strong candidates coming from an Operator background. There will be vast scope for progression over the long term with the role naturally moving into OIM over time. Key Requirements: Thorough understanding of offshore production and utility systems and project management experience. Technical knowledge - Instrumentation and Electrical. Not just relying on team leads to understand Knowledge of plant and equipment. Overview of WI, Gas and oil systems.
