Job Description
Our client has a strong focus on the growing deepwater subsea umbilical, riser and flowline markets in Africa, Asia Pacific, Brazil and the Gulf of Mexico as well as a leading role in the North Sea. Employing over 5,000 personnel onshore and offshore they are one of the world's leading subsea engineering and construction companies servicing the Oil & Gas industry
As Senior Project Engineer your main responsibilities will include
Lead engineering assistance and support during mobilisations and occasional periods of offshore working in support of pipelay and trenching operations
Define installation sequence
All engineering associated with loadout and installation activities
Prepare installation method statements, procedures and analyses
Design and specify installation aids, initiation/termination rigging etc
Specify and source equipment (tensioner pads, clamp pads etc)
Design and install vessel/equipment modifications for Projects or CAPEX improvements.
Provide input to support project risk assessments, HIRA's etc
Qualifications and Education
General Education:
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline
Specified Qualifications for position:
Offshore medical and survival certificates - essential
Skills
Capability to train / supervise / mentor more junior Project Engineers and graduates - essential
Experience:
Subsea industry or similar within the oil and gas sector, essential
Previous Project Engineering experience, desirable
Working knowledge of Subsea installation techniques, equipment and methods; rigging & sea fastening; fabrication/construction methods and practices, essential
