The Global QHSE Director, reporting directly to the CEO, will be responsible for developing and driving the companys QHSE culture. This senior level QHSE professional will embrace the development, implementation and management of a global QHSE system to support the business in its delivery of strategic growth through existing and future international operations. The scope of work covers the complete spectrum of QHSE activities across the company on a global basis. Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following) Responsible for strategic Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental activities at all facilities and service sites. As a Senior business manager, lead the business ensuring strict adherence to the Companys core values. Overall responsibility for advising the group on all applicable QHSE legislation and monitoring compliance. Ensure appropriate Project Emergency Response arrangements are in place, current and subject to regular tests. Overall responsibility for gaining and maintaining approvals to ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 and any additional applicable accreditations. Develop and Implement policies, procedures, controls, and measures. Overall responsibility for customer QHSE management globally. Preparation, implementation and application of the overall QHSE Plan for senior management approval including an Audit Schedule aimed at improving performance across the group. Work with regional business leaders to identify and place QHSE resources necessary to support the business. Drive the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual company QHSE reporting. Ensure that all audits of critical suppliers and internal processes are managed so as to minimize risk and maximize return. Positions: Technical Safety, Senior Tech Safety, Principal Tech Safety and Lead Tech Safety roles. Responsibilities: You will be accountable for provision of process safety engineering advice and support on all aspects of onshore and offshore operations, projects including new developments, and to ensure Technical Safety Engineering discipline regulatory and company standards compliance, optimum business performance and appropriate levels of discipline engineering capability. You will be the primary contact for project related Technical Safety Engineering and Process Safety, including local regulatory bodies (HSE, DECC, SEPA, etc). You will also be the focal point on Major Hazard issues for the project, setting standards, providing guidance and support on the assessment and management of major hazards. Includes the coordination of continuous risk reduction plans for major accident hazards, Project TA for Major Hazard documentation and management and maintenance of the Major Accident Risk assessments for the project. Prioritise and support process & technical safety reviews, including Major Accident Risk, QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, Project HSE Stage Gate Reviews and other technical safety related audits and reviews of existing plants and projects. Produce various safety engineering (and legislative compliance) studies. Looking to hear from individuals who have Offshore, Safety, Onshore, Oil and Gas, HAZOP, HAZID, Risk Assessment, and Risk Analysis experience. Conduct risk assessments and risk reviews in accordance with existing procedures. Represent the safety team at kick-off meetings, progress and design review meetings for the project or change proposal designs. Preparation of CTR estimates for the safety engineering studies. Delivering quality, cost effective and timely engineering services in a demanding environment of change, short interval planning and conflicting priorities. Participation in incident investigations and provide root cause analysis support particularly where technical and/or process safety issues are involved. Support Safety Case Maintenance. The development of technical safety engineering and process safety aspects of major projects in the oil and gas industry or related industries. Thorough understanding and application of quantified and qualified risk management techniques including specific scenario modelling. Experience of facilities design and analysis is essential incorporating knowledge of topsides & sub-sea facilities, pipelines and controls, etc. Skilled in the application of Microsoft office systems. Appropriate number of years experience working in the technical safety engineering or process safety disciplines of projects or onshore/offshore oil & gas operations Essential Qualifications: HND or equivalent in appropriate Engineering subject The ideal candidate will hold an Msc in Safety Engineering/ Risk Management and ideally looking to work towards becoming a chartered member of a recognised body, e.g IChemE, IMechE etc. You will also have the right to work in the UK either by EU citizenship or Tier 1 Visa. Degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
