As HSSE Advisor (Onshore) your main responsibilities will include
Provide challenge, support, assurance and expert advice on all matters relating to the Security, Safety, Health & Environment in order for location/project/contract to achieve objectives and performance targets.
Provide positive leadership for the [contract/[project/location] on HSSE issues and promote the adoption of SSHEQ best practice
Promote an enthusiastic SSHEQ culture that delivers positive commitment to, and engages all employees in, continous performance improvement
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the HSSE management system and progress against the company HSSE Performance Standards. Make recommendations for improvement where appropriate
Provide assistance and advice to the Project Manager/Location Manager with responsibility for HSSE
Contribute towards developing annual HSSE objectives for Project/Location. Monitor and report on the implementation and effectiveness
Assist with the identification of HSSE training needs and monitor delivery and recording
Monitor and report on the implementation of the approved HSSE objectives
Produce HSSE performance reports as required
Promptly alert line and functional management to significant accidents and incidents. Where appropriate be innvolved in the investigation and ensure that the findings are reported and appropriately shared
Review accident and incident reports. Identify any trends and ensure that there is appropriate response to prevent future occurrence
Part of Emergency Response organisation
Contribute towards development of bids
Participate in HSSE Function Away Days
Provide support to Function and/or other projects as necessary
Provide cover for site HSSE personnel
Qualification/Training:
Essential:
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
Auditor training
IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities (or similar)
Desirable:
NEBOSH Diploma
Lead Auditor (certified)
Member of IOSH
Experience
Desirable:
Offshore or petrochemical plant experience
Line management responsibility

HSSE Auditor Job Summary: The Group HSSE Auditor will undertake HSSE audits of the Group's core business and support activities in line with a set audit schedule and lead audits involving technical and discipline personnel of relevant functions. Analyse HSSE audit findings against HSSE performance date to identify recurrent trends and report on these trends and findings. Provide training and coaching on HSSE audit, investigation and assessment techniques and key functional processes and good practices to operations engineering and construction and support function personnel.
