Job Description

The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for HSE for the companies site at St Fergus. The role will also involve offering HSE support on site and for 3rd party organisations. You will also act as first aid team leader across the site.

    Monitor and report on, Health and Safety and Environmental Protection performance
    Provide training in HSE subjects to Company personnel as required by HSE/Project Manager.
    Maintain and review HSE records and statistical information.

    Qualifications/Experience include:-

    The development of HSE aspects of projects in the oil and gas industry or related industries, e.g. chemical.
    Experience of contract evaluation and management, specifically ongoing contractor performance management.
    Knowledge and experience of operational HSE is essential incorporating good knowledge of topsides & sub-sea facilities, pipelines and controls.
    Construction Site HSE Management with knowledge Skilled in the application of Microsoft office systems.
    Appropriate number of years' experience working in projects HSE management.
    Capable of managing multiple and multi-functional projects. Contribution has significant impact to operations/projects.
    NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (Preferred).

    They are currently recruiting for the position of Seabed HSE Advisor, based in Aberdeen

    Responsibilities will include:
    Maintain an accurate understanding of all activities within the workscopes for which the Seabed Teams are responsible.
    Develop positive and constructive working relationships with the Project Teams supported, ensuring clear two way communication that ensures you understand what support the teams require and they are always clear about what support you are providing.
    Monitor delivery performance and raise quality and/or schedule concerns with relevant Project Team Manager and Subsea HSE Lead promptly.
    Participate in the daily vessel/worksite call, including weekends as agreed with the other members of the HSE Team.
    Complete document reviews and feedback as required to deadlines.
    Participate in risk management activities (Preliminary Operations Reviews, Operations Reviews, HIRAs, etc) for your Project Team workscopes. Provide cover for risk management activities for other Project Teams when required.
    Contribute to HSSE performance reporting as required.
    Conduct or take part in HSSE audits, assessments, and inspections as required.
    Provide coaching, training and guidance for HSE subjects related to Project activities as required. Be prepared to travel offshore to provide support at worksites as required.

    Qualifications
    Essential:
    Significant practical HSE experience in high hazard industries
    Experience of working at offshore construction sites
    NEBOSH General Certificate

    Desirable:
    Experience of working in an HSE Advisor role for a North Sea Operator
    NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health
    Chartered Membership of IOSH
    Formal root cause investigation training qualification
