Job Description

HSSE Auditor Job Summary: The Group HSSE Auditor will undertake HSSE audits of the Group's core business and support activities in line with a set audit schedule and lead audits involving technical and discipline personnel of relevant functions. They will assist in the facilitation and management of HSSE improvement processes and deliver audit training programmes. Provide input to the development of Company HSSE audit schedules at Country, Regional and Corporate levels. Perform formal HSSE audits in line with the Group audit schedules against Group and Country HSSE management system standards and procedures and external criteria such as ISO, OGP, API, IADC and so on. Analyse HSSE audit findings against HSSE performance date to identify recurrent trends and report on these trends and findings. Identify and maintain a record of best HSSE management practices within our operations. Provide training and coaching on HSSE audit, investigation and assessment techniques and key functional processes and good practices to operations engineering and construction and support function personnel. Advise on and facilitate the development and implantation of HSSE standards and procedures. Provide input for the recording and follow-up of lessons learned from audits. Be fully conversant with HSSE codes of practice and guidance affecting Companies global operations. Facilitate and support appropriate personnel in the close-out of corrective and preventive actions. Key requirements: Proven experience in an HSSE assurance role within the oil & gas industry, preferably within drilling and well operations with significant experience as an auditor, preferably undertaking risk based audits. Experience of managing the development and maintenance of a formal HSSE business system. Lead Assessor (IRCA) Practical and flexible, but assertive and tenacious. Must be familiar with the implementation, maintenance and audit of ISO 9001/14001/18001 - compliant management systems.
