Key Requirements

Job Description
Our client is a young and dynamic E&P company looking to recruit an experienced Geophysicist to lead their G&G division. The company is expanding quickly, and they currently have over 30 operating licences in the North Sea and Scandinavia.
The role is to mentor and manage the current team of Geophysicists when working on project sites, whilst reporting directly to the Exploration Manager. This position will be based from Aberdeen, with some travel required on international projects.
The company has fantastic prospects and there is great potential to move up the ladder very quickly. There is an attractive salary package on offer, as well as stocks and shares in the company.

The Role You will be playing a leadership role in the development geology discipline. This will involve the support the evaluation of new and mature field development opportunities from the UK portfolio. Additionally you will support the exploration and business Development group to evaluate acquisition opportunities and monitor the company's operated and non-operated portfolio. This will of course involve understanding the subsurface reservoir distribution, in-place hydrocarbons and technical reserves of our exploration discoveries to facilitate future development planning. Additionally you will provide geological capability throughout the field development planning process including assessment of the geological framework, static reservoir modelling, probabilistic in-place volumes. This role will also include attending 3rd party meetings, visiting data rooms and writing field development plans/technical memorandum/investment proposals. Experience Required You should have 10+ years experience and ideally this will be previously gained working in an operator.
