Key Requirements
A university degree in geosciences is a requirement; additional post-graduate geologic education would be an advantage.
The candidate should have good working knowledge relating to seismic signatures for petroleum systems, geochemistry, sedimentology and structural styles.
Practical experience in spectral and amplitude attributes, and Petrel interpretation is desirable.
North Sea Basin experience necessary
Job Description
Contribute high quality geophysical input into held asset projects and ongoing appraisal operations.
To be effective working with varying degrees of existing seismic data coverage; to quickly identify and generate high quality opportunities for investment consideration in and near existing licenses; and to balance sound business judgment with excellent technical skills.
Ability to assess seismic processing pitfalls and weaknesses
Ability to integrate Geology and Geophysics.
Participation in multi-disciplinary project teams.
The ability to communicate technical data through the preparation and presentation of clear, concise and persuasive presentations to management and partners.
The position is ideally suited to a candidate who is a motivated, high-energy individual, wishing to advance their overall knowledge within held acreage assets. Some amount of travel may be required as opportunities are identified and data requirements are assessed.
Generate Geologic input for 3D geocellular models to aid near field/asset exploration and appraisal.
Contribute and participate in internal peer review and management presentations, and if necessary as the company technical representative to partners and government.
Monitor and report budget/capital spending related to your projects.
Represent the company in operated and non-operated partner meetings and presentations.
