Asset Analyst - Aberdeen, United Kingdom
My client, a large operator based in Aberdeen are looking to hire an Asset Analyst to join the finance team.
The Position
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
• Supply key business information to aid decision-making and meet reporting requirements.
• Complete key routine administrative responsibilities to a high standard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare, present and issue quarterly asset reforecasts, including: production volumes, operating expenditure, capital expenditure, third party income, 12-month plans and variance narratives versus prior forecast, work plan and Net Budget.
• Prepare, present and issue forecast updates for clients Net Submission to Copenhagen.
• Liaise with Department budget holders to ensure accurate forecasts are obtained/maintained and enhance budget holder understanding of the reporting processes.
• Provision of accurate and timely monthly reporting of operating and capital expenditures to UK Management, incorporating valid accruals, relevant balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare the annual budget/work plans.
• Provision of billings to partners, issuing of invoices for JV expenditure.
• Provision of information for JV/Internal/External audits for licences for which responsible.
• Provide back-up and support for the rest of the asset accounting group.
KEY TECHNICAL ACTIVITIES AND TASKS:
• Interpretation and analysis of financial and operational information.
• Advanced use of IT desktop products (Powerpoint, Excel etc.) and various networked systems e.g. Datawarehouse, Oracle , SAP
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
• Effective team working skills, self motivated and disciplined.
THE PERSON:
• A qualified accountant, with relevant Oil industry experience.
• Enthusiastic individual with effective communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work with and provide support to a diverse team, including production, exploration, subsurface and offshore personnel.
