Our client is a young and dynamic E&P company looking to recruit an experienced Geophysicist to lead their G&G division. The company is expanding quickly, and they currently have over 30 operating licences in the North Sea and Scandinavia. The role is to mentor and manage the current team of Geophysicists when working on project sites, whilst reporting directly to the Exploration Manager. This position will be based from Aberdeen, with some travel required on international projects. The company has fantastic prospects and there is great potential to move up the ladder very quickly. You will be mentored and supported in your role and training will be provided in the Companys technologies, work flows and practices. Applicants are invited with an Earth Science background and some industry experience preferably in Wellsite and/or Operations Geology. You will be expected to travel as required so flexibility is key to this role. Deliver all aspects of your work in a timely and professional manner. Preferences: The successful candidate will have: Degree preferred in Earth Science related subject geology degree advantageous. Some experience working in the oil and gas industry essential. Preferably at the wellsite or/and supporting/using/training in well software applications. An understanding of different well data types and formats and the well data acquisition, QC and analysis process advantageous. Experience in the use of geological well applications and databases advantageous. E.g. Recall, Winlog etc. The ability to prioritise workload. Good presentation skills ability to relay technical knowledge in a coherent manner. Proactive approach in ensuring data is available and accessible for project work. Good problem solving, trouble shooting skills and customer focus, taking genuine pride in work. Excellent interpersonal skills required liaising with internal and client and potentially third parties. A professional attitude and flexible in approach to work. Strong team player ability to engage, develop trust and work effectively to achieve common goals and objective. Must be willing to travel.
