Job Description
An Expanding operator with a 5 year plans to double production within their International assets, is looking to hire a a dedicated Senior Geologist for their operations in both UKCS and West Africa. My clients International offices are based in Aberdeen they are one of the top ten largest operators in the UKCS, operating 99% of their assets.
As a Senior Geologist working in this area you will be part of and work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including the field Geophysicists and Reservoir Engineers. Your job will be to maintain production of assets, seek and generate prospects through evaluation for in-field drilling, near field exploration and bringing existing prospects to production.
This role will be key to the success of the team moving forward and you will be expected to plan work schedules, lead projects and and provide leadership and coordination to the team.
As a Senior Geologist you will have proven experience in production/development and exploration. You will have skills in Reservoir characterisation, reservoir mapping and geological model building and be familiar with software's such as Landmark & Petrel. Candidates with upwards of 7 years experience can be considered for this role. EU Citizenship or equivalent to work in the UK would be extremely beneficial.

Job Description
The Company A leading independent operator with significant exploration and production capability. They are currently producing around 600,000 BOPD worldwide. They have a good reputation in Aberdeen and now have a position for person to support the evaluation of new and mature field development opportunities from their UK portfolio. The Role You will be playing a leadership role in the development geology discipline. This will involve the support the evaluation of new and mature field development opportunities from the UK portfolio. Additionally you will support the exploration and business Development group to evaluate acquisition opportunities and monitor the company's operated and non-operated portfolio. This will of course involve understanding the subsurface reservoir distribution, in-place hydrocarbons and technical reserves of our exploration discoveries to facilitate future development planning. Additionally you will provide geological capability throughout the field development planning process including assessment of the geological framework, static reservoir modelling, probabilistic in-place volumes. This role will also include attending 3rd party meetings, visiting data rooms and writing field development plans/technical memorandum/investment proposals. You will also manage outside consultants and interview and mentor new staff as well as to ensure that they are trained in the correct areas to complete their jobs. Experience Required You should have 10+ years experience and ideally this will be previously gained working in an operator. You should have a background in reservoir characterisation and static geological model construction, field development planning and exploration work. You should also have experience of utilising the 3D reservoir characterisation tool-kits Seisworks & Petrel. You should also be au fait with reservoir volume uncertainty estimation, scenario modelling & value of information techniques.
