Job Description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities will include
Performing work in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.
Modelling of parts and assemblies and production of detailed drawings and exploded view drawings in Solidworks.
Checking drawings, for dimensional accuracy, tolerances and presentation.
Analysis of the equipment involving; force and stress analysis, mechanism analysis, and hydraulic and electro-mechanical analysis of drive systems involving motors, gearing and actuators.
Interaction with electronic design engineers to ensure product is designed concurrently with electronic component integration.
Assisting technicians with new builds to ensure that parts and assemblies, and stock details are correct.
Dealing with internal and external non compliance of parts and engineering change notices
Interaction with purchasing/stores/production/quality departments to ensure that parts and builds are as per the design.
Experience & Qualifications:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software.
Good analytical skills of static and dynamic systems
