Job Description

Our client is an international energy services company operating in engineering & production facilities, well support and gas turbine services. Employing over 28,000 personnel worldwide they operate in 50 countries

As Assistant/Trainee Cost Engineer your main responsibilities will include

Understand the corporate and contract specific cost procedures and carry out all work in accordance with these.
Study and understand all relevant project documents relating to the cost management of allocated project(s).
Assisting in the review of cost commitment and expenditure information (for all cost elements), for input to the computerised cost control and reporting system on a weekly basis and ensuring that all information received is accurate and correctly input.
Assisting in the production of regular cost reports.
Maintaining comprehensive accessible registers of financial approvals, variations and change orders.
Review project manhours and the allocation of manhours in conjunction with planning on a weekly basis.
Maintain rates within Computerised Cost System.
Maintain a good working knowledge of relevant corporate cost software.
Participate in schedule risk analysis as required
Ensure that the Corporate and Project Specific Change Control procedures are being adhered to.
Assist Cost Department on reporting how the change control effort is impacting on the project
And any other duties appropriate to this position

Education & Qualifications:
A-Levels or equivalent experience

Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Good general understanding of Cost Management, Estimating and Change Control

Experience:
High degree of computer literacy

This is a contract position

    Manage Offshore Structures Inspection Strategy

    Manage FSR deviations at TA2 level
    Technical support to the Assets
    Manage the Fabric Maintenance strategy to maintain structural integrity
    Oversee the reporting of KPI's on structural integrity
    Contribute to coaching of team members and ISC personnel
    Provide response to urgent Asset issues as required.

    Qualifications and Experience:
    A degree in Civil or Structural engineering or Naval Architecture.
    A CEng or equivalent professional qualification.
    Applicants shall have expert knowledge of fixed platform design both for substructures and topsides and also experience with floating systems, specifically FPSO's.
    Applicants will be fully versed in design and analysis, including non-linear analysis covering fixed and floating structures and completely familiar with relevant Industry Codes of Practice.
    Knowledge of advanced analytical techniques is necessary to address MAH scenarios as input to Risk analyses and to support Installation safety cases.
    The applicant will be experienced in SIM and all aspects of inspection strategy management.
