They are currently recruiting for the position of Principal Control Engineer, based in Aberdeen
Main duties include:
Development of project documentation such as functional specifications, control system narratives, cause & effects, design packages and commissioning procedures.
Responsible for the specification and detailed design of DCS & ESD system upgrades.
Technical Authority for Controls Team and QA work being submitted to clients by ensuring technical accuracy of solutions to client problems is achieved.
Responsible for regular client contact and the further development of professional relationships to ensure retention of current and future business.
Responsible for the providing leadership, coaching, mentoring and development to the team on a regular basis and as required. As well as team management responsibilities.
Responsible for budgetary control of projects and supervision responsibilities.
Responsible for ensuring that team targets are achieved.
Responsible for accurate and timely job reporting.
Communication with Management Team and support the Technical Director with business strategy and goals
Working in line with QHSE and other standards held by PI to ensure quality.

Controls & Instrumentation Team Leader Location:Aberdeen Status: Full-time Salary: Excellent (including benefits) Responsibilities: Provide day to day control and instrumentation engineering support to offshore production operations. Technical authority for control and instrumentation issues/problems. Responsible for specific platform performance standards and specific task/personnel management as identified by Production Superintendent. Build team spirit and provide leadership and mentoring as appropriate. Responsible for fostering an awareness of and adherence to relevant legislation, regulation and best available practices. To these ends responsible for instrumentation maintenance strategy and implementation. Provide specialist operations and technical expertise for ensuring the safest and most cost effective methods of installation operations, while minimising any loss of production revenue through innovative techniques, procedures and equipment. Develop, maintain and distribute company standards, procedures and specifications. Responsible for gaining a "bottom up" consensus for budget building and buy-in to annual budget performance. Contracts review, tender evaluation and monitoring of service contracts. Expected to fulfil Emergency Response role. Expect to attain company operational and system procedure knowledge and maintain a current offshore medical certificate.

Key Requirements
You will need to hold a first class or upper second class degree in Electrical or Control Engineering, and have an understanding of Control challenges of renewable energy in particular related to wind, wave and tidal energy systems. A working knowledge of power electronics would be an advantage. You will need good written communication skills (including technical report writing), the ability to work to tight deadlines and adaptability.
