Job Description

  • You will be responsible for providing effective leadership and construction management at the site, always working to ensure our projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Providing construction planning and constructability input during FEED and detailed design
  • Leading the development of the construction and installation scope of work and the construction execution plan
  • Leading the contractor prequalification, tender evaluation and recommendation to award major execution and construction contracts
  • Manage one or more Construction or Installation Contracts and to lead the Company Construction site team, including any third party services staff
  • Overseeing the alignment and coordination of construction activities and managing construction interfaces with other Venture and Project elements
  • Ensuring compliance with the requirements of local authorities and regulations
  • Liaising with the Asset and Operations Team to ensure that construction deliverables meet the necessary requirements
  • Ensuring that the handover of systems is planned and managed efficiently and seamlessly
  • Ensuring all documentation is in place to effect final handover to operations
  • Managing and controlling changes to scope, deviations from specifications, costs, schedule, and contingency planning Ensuring that an effective project and construction management system is in place to monitor and control cost, progress, and quality
  • Ensuring full compliance of all contractors and construction staff with the applicable HSE and QA/QC policies, including on-site equipment and material preservation

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Extensive relevant industry experience, including considerable to extensive hands-on construction management experience This should encompass the construction of at least one Major Oil and Gas project to the value of at least $300MM
  • Strong grounding in a broad spectrum of disciplines together with specific skills in Engineering, Construction and Contract or Commercial management, including negotiation experience
  • Resilient, flexible, self-confident, and assertive, you are skilled in dealing with contractors, confident working and managing in a multi-cultural environment, and adept at building and motivating a project team with members in different locations worldwide
  • A willingness to relocate overseas if necessary is important

This is a contract position.
