Job Description
Our client is a major Mining and Oil & Gas production company based in Aberdeen and operating in the North Sea
As Senior Completions Engineer your main responsibilities will include
Accountable for assessment of concepts and conduct detailed design of all aspects of completions
Take lead role in taking the selected design through to successful completion operations.
Work together with asset team to deliver optimised solutions.
Evaluate/recommend technology, equipment, materials and services pertaining to well completion and well intervention operations including personnel competency.
Coordinate the preparation of well completion equipment as necessary at suppliers locations and ensures design criteria and delivery requirements are met.
Responsible for the preparation of completion documentation from concept through to design and AFE with particular emphasis on key risk identification and contingency plans.
Prepare detailed programmes and conducts peer reviews and risk assessments for the planned activities to bring about safe and efficient operations.
Provide onshore technical support during well activity.
Responsible for performance management of contracts and operations.
Ensure that Certifying Authority surveys are completed on completion equipment as appropriate.
Ensure that all requirements under company policy regulations are met during well completion and well intervention design and operational activities
Skills
Essential
Strong project management skills.
Experience in working on platforms and subsea environments.
Demonstrable skills in designing, engineering, and planning completions.
Understand risks identification with mitigation plans.
Experience of design and installation of sand control completions in subsea environments.
Deliver high quality work on time to allow informed decision making.
Preferred
Previous experience of overseas operations, particularly in remote locations.
Contracting management - developing ITTs, technical evaluation, performance management
Knowledge of risked based probabilistic time and cost models.
Competent to assess and implement new technologies effectively

Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator with a substantial presence in the UKNS. They currently have a requirement fo a Senior Completions Engineer on a day rate - contract basis. Key Responsibilities Having a strong commitment to HS&E, plan and execute the design and examination for completing oil or gas wells. Prepare testing/completion programs, including equipment specification and selection, flow modelling, stress analysis. Prepare cost estimates and cost control for completion activities. Awareness of and involvement in new completions technologies, with appropriate incorporation into designs and work programs. Evaluate execution and operational performance. Ensure completion programs, program amendments, and dispensations to policy are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed. Liaise with sub-surface and production team to ensure completion design is fit for purpose. Onsite support for key completion operations. Provide engineering support for completion operations. Implement best practices as identified in engineering & operational studies. Perform post-analyses and benchmarking studies, incorporate learning's into future completion programs.
