Our client is a highly successful Well Engineering and management services consultancy. Due to continued growth and successful project wins our client is now seeking a highly successful Senior Drilling Engineer to provide planning and execution input for a multi well semi-sub programme this role will be based in their Aberdeen office.
Key Requirements:
• IWCF or WellCap Subsea Supervisors Well Control Certificate Holder
• In-depth knowledge of UKCS legislative requirements, i.e. permitting etc.
• Knowledge in well design, planning, programming and AFE development
• Knowledge of industry best practices associated with drilling and completions
• Understanding of casing design and well control techniques
• Ability to use industry standard well engineering software packages beneficial (e.g. Landmark StressCheck, WellCat, WellPlan, Compass, etc)
This position is offered on a long term contract with excellent rates.

Key Responsibilities include: Manage, coordinate, supervise and monitor Drilling Contractor and Service Provider activity according to approved programmes and procedures. Ensure that all well objectives are delivered in a manner that safeguards the health and safety of all personnel, the environment and the integrity of company assets.. Ensure that all rig activities are; discussed in a planning meeting, covered by written work instructions, covered by procedure, properly risk assessed, understood by all personnel involved in the task and reviewed in order to capture lessons learned.
