Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop product designs
• Create product drawings
• Create processes, procedures and specifications
• Provide engineering support to sales, projects, production and service
DUTIES
The duties associated with this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Product Design: Generate conceptual designs and customise existing designs
Identify potential new products and applications
Analyse designs and perform calculations to verify suitability
Prepare for and participate in design review, verification and validation
Develop and oversee product qualification testing
Implement engineering changes and product improvements
2. Design Documents: Creating technical specifications, manufacturing instructions and procedures
3. Engineering Support: Resolving technical issues for manufacturing, production and service
Assist with dispositioning Deviation Requests and Non-conformance reports
Performing technical evaluation of potential and current suppliers
Liasing with customer’s representatives to resolve engineering issues
Preparing technical input for proposals, bids and tenders
4. QHSE: Following established operating requirements and work instructions and assisting in the
development of new and revised processes.
Adhering to the company’s arrangements for the management of health, safety and
Environmental issues.
Carrying out all specified duties in a safe and efficient manner and highlighting any issues
Via the relevant reporting mechanisms
