Job Description Compiling and reviewing design inputs and functional requirements Designing detailed components Drawing component and assembly drawings Document Control to company and client standards Ongoing liaison and project reporting to clients Preparation of detailed engineering reports (FEED submissions, Work packs etc) Supervise the design, procurement, and manufacture of unit designs Supervise the testing of unit designs Assist other department personnel in ongoing manufacture and maintenance projects as required Undertake customer and vendor visits in support of specific projects or business development as and when required Some International travel is expected along with offshore visits Skills & Experience BEng in Mechanical Structural or Civil Engineering or a similar Qualification Previous experience in a Senior Design Engineer or principle Engineer position Experience of Stress Strain Analysis and Static Calculations essential Experience with control systems (Electric/Hydraulic/Pneumatic) an advantage Exposure to Oil & Gas, Offshore and Manufacturing environments Strong CAD skills, preferably with AutoCAD Computer Literate in MS Office Packages Independent and resourceful Structured, systematic and target driven Excellent communication skills Creative and analytical Flexible High ethical awareness and integrity This is a permanent position. Qualifications/Skills and Experience: Diploma in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (essential). Proficient in using 2D or 3D CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks or ProE (essential). Perform calculations pertaining to the product design such as stress analysis (essential). Experience in pressure control equipment designed to API 6A, API 16A. Products such as wireline valves, gate valves, Xmas tree, ball valves, down hole valves, coiled tubing BOP etc (essential). Ability to work effectively, on own initiative and in a team environment (essential). Degree BSc, BEng, or MSc in Mechanical Engineering (desirable). Product knowledge on oilfield surface or downhole equipment (desirable).

Job Description

Undertake a wide variety of engineering design from updating existing designs and files to working on elements of new design projects. Design to requirements and specifications as defined ensuring appropriate cost and quality of product. Verify designs through calculation, create design models and drawings, create test procedures and manuals, assist with technical support, check the work of other Design Engineers or Design Draughters. Assist with hands-on work during assembly and testing of prototype or new designs. Where appropriate supervision of Design Draughter on specific tasks and track their project tasks on larger projects. Create project documentation such as test plans, test results, certification files, maintenance and operating instructions. Stay abreast of developments in new technology and techniques with respect to the Hunting product lines Support and promote continuous improvement in engineering process and standards.
