We have been challenged by a leading Stavanger based oil company to source a skilled drilling superintendent to join their team. This company have performed extremely well on the Norwegian continental shelf to uncover some exciting prospects and excellent opportunities to build on their strong production rate. Following this substantial increase in activity this highly recognisable oil company urgently seek a highly motivated drilling superintendent to join their team. Reporting to the Drilling Manager the successful candidate will lead a high performing drilling team working on a number of the companies drilling programs through 2012 and beyond. The candidate will be coordinating the companys efforts on these wells and will be communicating on a high level with both National Government bodies and company suppliers to ensure the operations are carried out in an efficient and safe manner. As the most influential member of the team you will be fully responsible the following tasks: Monitoring and reporting performance on operated wells. Assuring that the operational planning and execution of the drilling activity is performed according to requirements. Liaising with authorities and suppliers on a high level Ensuring full compliance with the Norwegian HSE Regulations, the Operators Drilling Processes and its procedures. Coordinate Basis of Designs and key planning documents, Risk Assessments, budget cost estimates, AFEs, Discharge Permit, Application for Concent, Drilling Operations Programs and End of Well Reports. Provide onshore technical support to the offshore operations on operated wells. . Facilitate and coordinate risk weighted decision analysis as required. Ideal candidates will have at least ten years experience in drilling and well operations with a minimum of three years spent in an offshore supervisory capacity. You will have solid technical understanding of development and exploration drilling and well completion field operations, HSE and field operations. Candidates will have a good appreciation of the work of the geology, subsea and commercial teams in the business regularly supporting and offering advice towards their projects. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of a Bsc in petroleum engineering or equivalent and ideally further education.
