Key Requirements

Principal Accountabilities:
- a) Act as a fire and explosion risk management subject matter expert.
b) Develop and update Client’s risk management procedures as per the HSEMS with input from all sites and AUH.
c) Provide up to date HSE risk management / technical input and advice to operations, projects and engineering teams as required.
d) Provide support and input to Safety Engineers (Projects) , Loss Prevention Engineer and HSEIA engineer in matters related to risk and safety engineeringl studiesl reviewsl risk based Loss Prevention design (in the fields of fire protection, fire and gas detection, hazardous area).
e) Prepare Safety/HSE Studies Scope of Works and Safety studiesl reviews input to ITT.
f) Conduct technical evaluation for selection of Engineering Contractors/Consultants with respect to HSE Studies and reviews.
g) As an internal expert, conduct preliminary consequence modeling for dispersion, radiation, explosion by utilizing appropriate software.
h) As an internal expert, conduct Safety Reviews like PHA, HAZOP, HAZID, PHSER, Risk Assessment, Layout Review for Projects and Business Units.
i) Participate in PHA, HAZOP, HAZID, PHSER, Risk Assessment, Layout Review, SIL, COMAH, HSE-CES identification as and when required.
j) Review HSE Study reports submissions from Consultants / Contractors i.e. PHSER, Consequence Modeling (Dispersionl radiation/explosion), Layout Review, SIL, HSEIA, HSE-CES and Independent Verification Reports .
k) Work closely with the Site HSE Team Leaders and Engineers to update and maintain the Technical site Risk registers and participate in the monthly Risk Register review meetings for all sites.
I) Remain abreast of developments in the fields of risk management and safety engineering related to offshore operations.
m) Participate in accidents/incidents investigations as may be required on demand.
n) Interact with Safety Engineering and Risk Management specialists within the other ADNOC OPCO’s.
o) Attend technical meetings and seminars as requested by the Team Leader.

    Job Description

    My client is a major oil operator, based in Abu Dhabi. They function through onshore development sites and have recently begun developing some shallow water sites. They are currently seeking a Production Engineer to join their Operations department. The main role of this person will be to oversee duties relating to rigless operations, testing and stimulation to ensure well optimization, water supply and water/gas well injection. Other duties will include: - Provides technical support to field operations in the production of hydrocarbons and the efficient use of water and/or gas injection systems - Work embraces one or more oil and gas fields with processing facilities and more than 600 wells (oil producers, gas producers/injectors, water supply/injectors, water disposal, observers and exploration wells). - Prepares programs for rigless operations, perforation, kick-off operation, stimulation and well testing to be carried out by service companies. - Undertakes rigless completion and testing of newly drilled/worked over wells. - Daily follow-up of field operations on the wells. - Close coordination with operations. - Prepares programs for various well tests such as multi-rate production/injection tests and isochronal/modified isochronal tests. Coordinates and supervises testing operations and carries out preliminary interpretation and evaluation of test results. - Follows up and supervises all wireline work carried out by contractors. Checks the Amerada charts and downhole electronic memory results, as necessary and forwards to Abu Dhabi. - Supervises production logging and carries out preliminary log interpretation and evaluation of test results. - Optimum implementation of the oil offtake and water injection allowable per well. - Monitors oil/gas producing and water injection wells performance. Investigates and diagnoses well problems and proposes action requirements. Recommends workover for specific wells giving prognosis of each well and workover justification. - Injectivity plot curve (PIES). - Coordinates and supervise down hole equipment testing and maintenance. - Reviews and evaluates water injection clusters performance and discusses the long term injection test with concerned engineers of other Departments. - Monitors and discuss the performance of installed production equipment (Xmas trees, chokes, SC-SSSV's, control panels, SSV's/ actuators). - Participates in technical studies concerning water/gas injection and artificial lift projects, oil and gas operations, facilities optimization or modification, as assigned.
