Job Description
Our Client, a Major International Offshore & Subsea Oil & Gas Engineering Contractor, is urgently seeking a Lead Expeditor, for their Aberdeen office. Contract Role, duration ongoing. Candidates should have a previous experience in the Offshore Construction Industry. The role will involve ensuring the availability of the purchased materials and relevant handling documentation at the established delivery point, in accordance with the order conditions and within the scheduled time limits. Focused more on high volume, low value items such as ROV spares, etc. Duties: Ensures that the supplier defines a supply preparation plan that have to cover all phases of the preparation cycle (engineering, procurement, construction, inspection and preparation for shipment) in accordance with contract dates. Ensures the correct materials' receipt, acknowledging into the Integrated Information System (SAP/IBIS), or other Electronic Systems, the goods value and entering the taking delivery. Hourly rate is negotiable depending on Candidates skills and experience.

Job Description
Responsibilities include: Ensure materials ordered meet the requirements of thePO, Data Sheets and other Technical Documentation at designated marshalling points including fabricators. Entry of receipts into the computerized receiving system. Entry of orders into spreadsheets by job for tracking and further shipping requirements. Coordination of shipping of goods from marshalling points to fabricators both locally and internationally. Coordination of returns to vendors. Contacting vendors and shippers to ensure that supplies and equipment are forwarded on specified shipping date. Updating various reports to reflect receiving, shipping and outstanding issues. Work with Accounting and Document Control to ensure that requirements have been met prior to invoice payments. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: 3-7 years experience within an Oil and Gas fabrication environment with a basic understanding of Oil & Gas fabrication products. Must be knowledgeable in some or all of the following areas: Vessel and Piping materials and material grades Instrumentation Mechanical equipment Manual Valves Must have experience in warehousing, shipping, and transportation. Technical qualifications or equivalent related experience in purchasing and international shipping logistics would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a high pressure rapidly changing environment is required.
