Job Description
- Champion Worker Safety Programs
- Oversee site contractor fabrication, construction, and hookup work activities during Execution Phase
- Serve as member of the Project Team (PT) when project assigned
- Provide the interface between the work face and the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead
- May serve as the lead the company representative at sub-sites where the Construction Site Manager or Construction Site Lead typically does not reside
- Provide construction core competency expertise when assigned to the function
- Ensure good communications and relations with the contractors
- Champion on-site safety awareness and safe performance with contractor and among Project Team members
- Assist contractor in early site construction planning/construction planning prior to site mobilization
- Serve as day-to-day interface with contractor and craft labor during the Construction Phase, providing a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule
- Provide safety monitoring/leadership
- Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress
- Provide oversight of contractor's materials management/verification systems
- Ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans
- Monitor workforce productivity and progress relative to schedule
- Monitor environmental compliance, as required
- Interface with contractor for field level changes, e.g., scope, costs, etc.
- Verify post-site arrival of procured equipment and engineering equipment
- Provide on-site support to the Construction Site Manager/Construction Site Lead as required
- Provide support to pre-commissioning/mechanical completion/systems completion as required
- Coordinate Quality Audits and other site surveillance activities
- Perform other duties as requested
- Help develop Early Career Professionals
Skills & Experience
- Technical degree
- Previous site experience

- High School/Technical Training
- Extensive construction experience
This is a contract position.

Job Description
- The primary role and responsibility of the Drilling Engineer is to assure application of the best available economical technology in drilling operations. Other responsibilities include drilling surveillance and improvement of daily progress, follow-up assessments, and equipment selection and application.
- Provides rig site technical assistance to Drilling Supervisors during critical well control situations or for abnormal pressure detection.
- Provides well site drilling and engineering assessments and counsels Operations Superintendent on critical activities and problems, such as equipment failures, drilling fluid and hole problems, abnormal pressure detection, and well control.
- Prepares drill well plans in close coordination with other key internal groups. The drilling program includes if applicable, but is not limited to the following:
- Reference and adherence to Operations Integrity critical documentation
- Planned drilling schedule
- Directional and collision avoidance plans
- Wellhead, casing and cementing program
- Drilling fluid program
- Hydraulics, rotary speed, and bit weight program
- Bottom hole assembly program to maximize penetration rate and minimize deviation
- An assessment of special drilling problems that might be encountered
- Prepares cost estimates for selection of optimum alternatives
- Material and equipment selection and evaluation
- Maintaining proficiency in well control technology and training
- Surveillance of day-to-day drilling progress
- Analysis of drilling performance at intermediate depths and upon completion of the well. Works with Operations personnel to implement changes in procedures and equipment based on results of this analysis.
- Analyses and addresses engineering issues associated with field Support Base operations.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive industry experience.
- Broad technical and operational base, but particularly skilled in drilling & completions design and field operations. Strong command of pressure surveillance, well control, and rig equipment required
- Significant experience working for a major operator. Direct experience with PNG operations, foam drilling, and/or large logistically challenging projects a plus
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge base, maturity, credibility, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate
- Extensive technical experience in the area of well design, drilling operations & drilling equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective team member
- Ability to manage a large volume and variety of work
- Exposure to project management requirements
- Reports to Drilling Engineering Supervisor
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership and mentoring skills
- Able to maintain good working relations among multinational people in the Project area and office
- Fluent in English
- Must be able to adapt to the PNG cultural environment

Job Description
- Provide day-to-day supervision of drilling operations.
- Primary contact with rig and third party personnel at the rig site.
- Ensure drilling procedures are followed as planned and conducted in an optimum manner.
- Organize and order necessary services and equipment to conduct drilling, completion and testing program.
- Responsible for health and safety procedures being continuously enforced and make capable decisions in emergency situations to prevent well catastrophes as well as significant additional costs.
- Responsible for implementation of OIMS on the rig.
- Ensure that operations are consistent with OIMS and comply with Drilling OIMS Manual.
- Ensure that rig and third party equipment is adequately and properly maintained.
- Maintain inventory for all equipment/material/supplies to ensure a smooth ongoing operation.
- Coordinate with well site geologist to ensure logging, coring and production testing are performed as planned.
- Responsible for operations complying with all government and other appropriate regulations.
- Ensure potential pollution control problems are considered and relative contingency plans are understood by rig and third party personnel.
- Has direct responsibility that blowout, marine safety and other drills are held on regular basis.
- In coordination with onsite technical personnel, responsible for abnormal pressure techniques being properly utilized and mud characteristics being maintained for maximum safety and efficient drilling.
- Ensure accurate and adequate reports and records are kept regarding operations equipment and evaluations.
Skills and Experience
- Position requires Extensive overall experience with persified international experience in drilling, production/completion, and project management.
- Prior experience working for a major operator.
- Competent in HTHP wells.
- Requires excellent working knowledge of land drilling rigs.
- Experience with lost circulation, high formation pressures, synthetic based mud required.
- Experience with airfoam drilling desired.
- Highly developed communications skills and be proficient in typical Microsoft computer based applications.
- Must hold current Well Control (Surface) certification.
- Experience working independently and in a team environment.
- Prior supervision and directing large multidiscipline groups supporting onshore operations and projects.
- Extensive internationals business experience working with foreign cultures.
- Demonstrated reliability and high level of responsibility in a broad spectrum of onshore activities.
- Technical or B. S. Engineering degree.
- Read, write and speak fluent English.
