Job Description

Lead Pipeline Engineer - 3 yr - Operator Contractor - Stavanger - Norway - Immediate Start - 6500 - 7000 NOK per day

Leap 29 are currently working with a well known operator, the client are involved in a large project in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

This consists of a Platform with INtegrated Production, Drilling, L:iving Quarters, 1 FSO, Oil Treatment and Storage. 4 Flowlines, 4 Cables, Small Umbilicals for Valve for Gas Export.

The role is for an Experienced Lead Pipeline Engineer to join the team on a 3yr contract. The role requires someone to supervise and comment on Engineering Studies for the Pipeline. The Project is in FEED stage which is about to finalise and will then go into detailed engineering in June.

You will be working for the Operator, supervising the contractor and challenging the results to improve the design. Based in Stavanger, this role is available for an immediate start.

    Job Description

    The Project Engineer Pipelines is a key member of the Pipelines PMT which is responsible for delivering the offshore pipeline systems in accordance with company's Q&HSE expectations.

    General

    - Implementing safe and efficient execution of project scopes

    - Awareness and promotion of project goals in respect of HSE, cost, schedule & technical integrity

    - Direction, motivation, support and leadership to project team members and contractors.

    - Awareness and promotion of company GPO expectations of Safe Design and Quality Build and conformance to the GPO Operating Management System (OMS) requirements including risk management, continuous improvement and management of change.

    - Promoting an effective and collaborative working environment with a 'One Team' approach.

    - Ensuring lessons learned are captured and shared with the onshore management team

    Project Engineering

    - Support to general management of the installation contractor, sub-contractors and vendors

    Skills & Experience

    - Engineering degree and professional status accreditation with a recognised institution

    - Extensive offshore pipeline engineering and construction experience

    - Direct offshore experience of pipe-lay barge operations

    - Proven capability of contractor management

    - Exhibits understanding of company MPcp engineering and construction practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality,

    - Proactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major Projects,

    - Ability to intervene in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result,

    - A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills,

    The Project Engineer (Flexible Products) is a key member of the Subsea Construction PMT which is responsible for delivering the subsea systems in accordance with company's Q&HSE expectations.

    General

    - Responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of project scopes and communication of project goals and expectations,

    - Provide exemplary leadership to contractors and vendors to facilitate successful scope delivery,

    - Ensure the installation contractor has a competent organisation and a high standard of resources in-place to successfully execute the work,

    - Manage the contractor project execution performance and scope delivery,

    - Manage the plan and facilities for in-country mobilization of necessary personnel and equipment

    - Maintain awareness and promote conformance to GPO expectations and requirements of Safe Design and Quality Build within the Subsea Construction Team and the contractors,

    - Promote, demonstrate and ensure compliance with all appropriate elements of the GPO, Operating Management System (OMS), including Risk Management, Continuous Improvement and Management of Change,

    - Track and manage technical risks, drive integrity and reliability through company processes such as TRAP's, constructability reviews and FMECA's,

    - Will be delegation of authority for Project Engineering Team Lead as and when required.

    Project Management

    - Manage all the preparation work for the installation of the subsea flexible productions (production umbilical, SSIV umbilical, DEH riser cables). For this particular package the Project Engineer is responsible for:

    - Managing the installation engineering and procedure development to assure timely delivery of approved procedures for mobilisation and execution of the works

    - Readiness planning & co-ordination of Pre Startup Assurance Checklists prior to campaign execution.

    - Managing the key interface with the designers and suppliers of the production umbilical

    - Managing the key interface with the designers and suppliers of the SSIV control umbilical

    - Managing the key interface with the designers and suppliers of the DEH system

    - Maintaining close contact with the Engineering Team to ensure timely approval of engineering queries, deviations and approval of contractor documents,

    - Support the offshore installation and testing of the flexible products

    - Support the pre-commissioning and survey scopes for the flexible products

    - Manage the flexible product integrity to ensure no latent defects are passed in to operations

    - Managing the schedule for installation of the subsea structures

    - Managing and tracking of the execution costs including the assessment of contractor variations, invoices and deliverables

    - As a member of the Subsea Construction PMT the project engineer will be required to support areas of delivery outside direct responsibility including:

    - Building a competent Subsea Construction PMT to deliver the complete scope

    - Review of installation engineering and procedures outside of the package responsibility

    - Supporting other team members to deliver their areas of responsibility

    - Support to general management of the installation contractor, sub-contractors and vendors

    Skills & Experience
