Our client is an International Operator working extensively within the Norwegian market. They are requiring Commissioning Area Operators to take up work on their project offshore of Norway. This is a long term position starting in October and will run till 2014 .

The role will require the candidate to work alongside the Commissioning superintendent and ensure that commissioning activities are completed safely in accordance with the project scope.

To be suitable for this position you will need to have the following background.

* 5-10 years relevant experience
* Experience with multi disciplines of the commissioning
* Norwegian (NORSOK) experience
* Regular meetings with commissioning
* Offshore experience

In return you will be given a competitive market rate for your services.

    - Contract Account Manager for maintenance contract portfolio including a multi vendor gas turbine fleet.

    - Coaching of local Team Leaders to develop technical and personal skills through on-the-job training and coaching.

    - Management of development plans and interaction with Training and Development department.

    - Member of field incident management team and stand-in incident manager.

    Skills and Experience

    - Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline.

    - Chartered engineer or equivalent desirable.

    - Team player and strong leadership skills with experience in engineering, operational support or maintenance leadership role.

    - Demonstration of Safety Leadership and personal commitment to hands-on HSE leadership in all aspects of role.

    - Experience in coaching and work in overseas national organisations.

    - Good knowledge and practical experience of industry maintenance strategies with the ability to positively converse in them with all field departments, external contractors and equipment vendors.

    - Competence in Continuous Improvement practices.

    - High level of computer literacy including maximo.

    Responsibilities:
    Manage Offshore Structures Inspection Strategy
    Steerage to ISC resources engaged in the execution of inspection, repairs and CP's
    Manage FSR deviations at TA2 level
    Technical support to the Assets
    Manage the Fabric Maintenance strategy to maintain structural integrity
    Oversee the reporting of KPI's on structural integrity
    Contribute to coaching of team members and ISC personnel
    Provide response to urgent Asset issues as required.

    Qualifications and Experience:
    A degree in Civil or Structural engineering or Naval Architecture.
    A CEng or equivalent professional qualification.
    Applicants shall have expert knowledge of fixed platform design both for substructures and topsides and also experience with floating systems, specifically FPSO's.
    Applicants will be fully versed in design and analysis, including non-linear analysis covering fixed and floating structures and completely familiar with relevant Industry Codes of Practice.
    Knowledge of advanced analytical techniques is necessary to address MAH scenarios as input to Risk analyses and to support Installation safety cases.
    The applicant will be experienced in SIM and all aspects of inspection strategy management.
