SURF ENGINEER (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser & Flowline) - FPSO MODIFICATION AND HOOK UP MULTI SITE PROJECT IN UK, NORWAY, AND SOUTH KOREA EXCELLENT RATE 12 MONTHS+ EXTENSION The SURF ENGINEER (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser & Flowline) is responsible for the work field within the subsea production systems, umbilical's/ risers, flow lines, trunk lines and the installations of these facilities in the project. The work will be located in Norway, South Korea and Aberdeen. *The position will be involved in all phases of the project, such as early phase evaluation, engineering, construction/marine installation and commissioning. *Further responsibilities for the position will be to manage interfaces with the clients SURF group and manage the procurement and timely delivery of the Project Management Team and Contractor deliverables, namely the mooring system components. *Upon completion and delivery of the completed FPSO, the position will be central for the at-shore and offshore hook up activities related to the installation with the support of specialist disciplines. The position will take responsibilities for liaison with the Turret contractor in Norway, The client SURF dept. in Aberdeen and the appropriate regulatory bodies. Essential Roles and Responsibilities for the SURF ENGINEER (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser & Flowline): *Monitor and manage the interfaces between systems between the FPSO and SURF systems, participate in/ manage matters relating to SURF between the Project Management team and the project, Turret Contractor, Main Contractor and The Operator (End Client). *Ensure that all activities, for which he/she is responsible, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the Project Management Manual. In particular health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment requirements shall be ensured and properly addressed *Continued participation in review of the Client's requirements *Comment on the design, including arrangement on operability, functionality, accessibility and maintainability to meet requirements in laws, regulations, class, flag and contract. *Monitor and review Client's SURF and Contractor's activities and deliverables to ensure compliance with all regulatory and contract requirements *Review comments from Certifying Authority on design of the systems/equipment and assist in resolving issues. *Participate in HAZID's and HAZOP's. *Report to the Turret and Mooring Manager any delays in progress, any failure of design or gap between the deliverables and the contract requirement, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. *Coordinate and participate in the Mechanical Completion and Commissioning activities in order to ensure that the completed FPSO meets requirements with respect to SURF *Follow up SURF activities within design, subsea field design, detail engineering and associated installations and commissioning related to the FPSO *Ensuring use and transfer of experience within the relevant discipline networks as well as input on risk management and project planning *Site follow-up and offshore work is an integrated part of our project work Requirements (Knowledge's/Skills/Abilities) and other personal qualifications for the SURF ENGINEER (Subsea, Umbilical, Riser & Flowline): *Engineering Degree or similar within Mechanical and Marine System Technology/Engineering *Experience of managing engineering ,manufacturing and installation of TMS Systems is essential *Knowledge and experience with international ship building standards and class societies requirements.
