Job Description



  • Coordinate the authoring of key Commissioning procedures, manuals and programme.

  • Interface with major stakeholders (Asset Managers; Operations Support Coordinator; SODA Chief Engineer; M&I Lead, Production Coordinators; Discipline Engineers; Operations Readiness Engineers; Commissioning Engineers; Execution Leads; HSE Advisors; Contracting & Procurement Advisors) in order to ensure that their inputs are captured in all project documents prior to Commissioning of the Project.

  • The incumbent in conjunction with the CSU will implement all aspects of the Planning, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, Performance and Reliability Testing activities of all facilities to ensure conformance to the design parameters and the operations philosophy.

  • Work with the Contractor to ensure O&M staffs are trained adequately to enhance flawless commissioning.

  • Actively participate in the integrated commissioning and start-up activities required to ensure the safe and timely start up of the facilities on schedule.

  • Work with the FPD Coordinator in ensuring that the Flawless Project Delivery Process is appropriately implemented for the project.

  • Provide pre-commissioning, commissioning engineering and facilities acceptance criteria input into the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of the Project portfolio in line with Flawless Project Delivery Process.

  • Participate in Project activities (HAZOP’s, HAZIDs, Fats, Safety Studies and Audits) to ensure smooth takeover of the facilities by Asset Holders.

  • Contribute in the detailing of the Offsite Performance Test criteria for the entire major systems/subsystems in the project; ensuring that offsite pre-commissioning activities are maximized to reduce site work and work schedule


Skills & Experience



  • Should have a minimum of BSc/HND in Engineering.

  • Extensive experience in E&P (Operations & Maintenance).

  • Working experience in E&P commissioning planning and execution.

  • Good background knowledge of oil and gas processing, EP Operations, process management.

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience of operating successfully in a complex Gas Compression/Processing Plants.

  • Good communication, inter-personal and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with project safety systems and design studies, e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, SAFOP, FIREPRAN, etc.

  • Experience in the preparation and implementation of HSE Management Systems and HSE cases.

  • Good analytical skills and a sense of reality.

  • A strong team player.

  • Capable of managing the link between Contractors and the equipment Vendors/Manufacturer to ensure that the facilities are built in compliance with Client Group standards and Client HSSE policies.


This is a contract position.

    - Prepare integration of new equipment and ensure that operations team will have the proper skill level

    - Define the integrated (Project/Operator) strategy to manage the project Shutdowns and Start-Ups

    - Direct commissioning preparation and execution on sites in order to deliver an installation to Operations

    - ready for start up as per planning

    - Ensure hand over to Operations as per procedure jointly agreed with all the necessary certificates,

    - documentation, tools and required site assistance up to a steady state condition

    - HSE aspects during the execution of commissioning, SDs and SUs

    - Identification of critical jobs with related risk assessment

    - Respect of HSE specifications and proper work practices (Isolations, flushing, inerting,¡K)

    - Participate and assist Operations with SIMOPS management and relevant procedures revision

    - Hand over to Operator

    - Coordinate and achieve a flawless hand over from FO UPG to Operator

    - Follow up warranty call notifications and validate performance tests

    Skills & Experience

    - Degree qualified or equivalent chartered engineer

    - Vast professional experience

    - Previously FO experience at management level either on site or on method operations.

    - Project experience with participation to commissioning, shutdown and start up activities is a real must.

    - Abilities: To manage multidiscipline people, rigorous with good sense of organization and logic,
