Inspection Engineer

Leap 29 are currently working with a global engineering company. At the moment the client is looking for an inspection engineer to carry out inspections on drilling equipment.

Start date: 1 month
Duration: Long term contract (min. 2-3 years)
Rate: To be discussed
Location: Worldwide

Your responsibilities

I would like to stress that my client needs someone who is flexible to be able to travel as they will need you to work on different projects worldwide. There is no set rotation as it depends on the project you will be working on. Also my client requires the suitable candidate to be committed to the position on a long term contact basis (minimum 2-3 years).     The Lead (Pipeline Installation) Engineer manages a team of design engineers responsible for preparing the complete installation engineering documentation at the tender and project execution phases.

    - Responsible for carrying out installation analyses for rigid pipelines, risers, umbilicals, subsea structures, spool pieces and anchor pattern analysis.

    - Development of installation procedures for shallow water S-lay pipeline and subsea structure installation covering all phases of the project, including contingency procedures.

    - Supervise execution of project drawings supporting the installation procedures.

    - Liaise with Clients, Field Engineers and Third Parties as required.

    - Follow-up projects offshore during execution.

    - Follow-up on project close-out reports to improve procedures

    Skills & Experience
