    An international Oil & Gas Operator have a requirement for a Senior HSSE Advisor to work with then on an 18 month contract based out of the UAE. The focus of this challenging position will be to improve the HSSE systems, implement them across multiple sites and then monitor safety performance. You will be based from the UAE but the role will involve travel in the Middle East and North Africa region.

    Responsibilities • Reporting to the Construction Site Manager with oversight from the Vice Construction General Manager. • Responsible for: o The creation and management of a suitable and robust reporting process for all construction related activities, managed from site/In Kingdom. o Ensuring that accurate and up to date construction information is available to the construction and project teams. o Ensuring that accurate, detailed, Construction reports are issued punctually in an agreed format on a weekly and monthly basis to the Construction and Project management teams, and the client. o Supporting the Construction and Project management teams in the management of the Client and the end customer. o Working closely with the In Kingdom and Out of Kingdom Construction and Project management teams including managers, engineers, planners, and field supervision personnel to collate all necessary data for reporting purposes. o The maintenance of close and effective relationship and communication with the site Construction and Project management teams. o Ensuring that accurate and up to date construction information is available to the Construction and Project teams at all times. o Development and maintenance of construction related cost and schedule KPIs as required by the Construction and Project management teams and ensuring that the teams are fully aware of the project KPI’s and targets. o Representing the Construction Site Manager and Vice Construction General Manager as and when required. o Providing strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure the construction site team is working effectively to achieve the project KPI’s. o Identifying and addressing risks and issues and escalating to the Construction Site Manager, Vice Construction General Manager, and senior management as required. Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills • Experienced in the development and management of construction reporting and control matters in construction engineering related environment. • Experienced and comfortable with interfacing with senior management personnel and the client. • Strong presentation skills. • Strong report writing skills. • Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Word, Excel. And Power Point. • Team Player. • Strong communicator written and oral. • Strong and effective leader and coordinator. • Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks. • Familiar with but not an expert in Primavera P6 and MS Project. • Experience of working in multicultural project teams. Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills • Middle East experience acting in a client role. • Experience of working on camp based construction sites in remote Middle East locations. • Experience of working on large construction projects. • Experience of managing construction on behalf of the client and through an EPC. Additional Benefits Information for applicants: Working Hours 6 days/ week, 10hrs/day on site, excluding travel time between accommodation and site. Friday is ‘weekend’. Accommodation/Travel All accommodation in Saudi Arabia, food, laundry, other living expenses and daily transport on site will be provided, this includes airport transfers. Welfare On-site dedicated medical support from a recognised international provider, with ISOS backup for medical evacuation will be provided, along with On-site dedicated security support from a recognised international provider, with comprehensive offshore backup. Other laptop, email, cell phone on expenses basis for business use. More specific details on Pay Grades and benefits packages are currently being refined and will be available in due course.
