Oil and Gas Jobs in Libya
5 Years relevant experience in oil and gas welding operations. Excellent grasp of the English language (verbal and written). Vocational/ technical education in welding; preferred associate or bachelor degree in welding technology.
• Inspect and test welded joints of work in progress and of completed units for visible defects. • Check welding for correct dimensions, joint strength, bead formation, weld penetration and conformance with layout blueprints. • Inspect joints for hidden cracks and pits, using specialist testing equipment. • Perform stress tests on joints, using stress testing equipment and prepare samples for stress testing to be reviewed. • Verify alignment and dimensions of product and setup of machines and fixtures for work in progress. • Observe techniques and performance of welders in shop or on site. • Mark defective pieces and carry out recommendations for scrapping or a method of reworking. • Record all inspection data. • Test and inspect metal samples to determine most effective welding processes and techniques.

Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in HSEQ related positions on oil field services and/or Heavy Industry / Construction environment. Education: Higher Technical/vocational qualification. NEBOSH or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Implement project HSE plans and enforces safe systems of work on Project sites. • Advises and assists Project Supervisor in all HSEQ-related matters • Conducts risk assessment specific to activities performed on project sites • Maintains Project-related HSEQ documentation and performance data up to date. • Enforces Permit to Work procedure on project sites • Ensures that all Corrective Action Requests raised on his site are addressed in a timely manner • Draw up and implement Camp/Project Emergency Plans. • Schedules, communicates, and directs emergency drills at Camp/Project sites • Carry out toolbox meetings • Delivers induction and other HSEQ-related training • Reports and investigates incidents and near misses and participates in dissemination of lessons learnt. • Carry out Camp/Project site and equipment inspections • Performs gas-testing activities where necessary • Enforces Journey Management and road transport safety standards • Liaison with client site representative to maintain high standard of safety and quality on project sites • Performs environmental impact assessment on Camp/Project sites • Follows-up the implementation of company standard on environmental protection • Enforces the implementation of the Company waste management program • Attends and provides inputs in all project progress/safety meetings • Conduct any other activity, as directed by HSEQ Management
