Senior Drilling Engineer - Expat Position
The Senior Drilling Engineer will play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for detailed well planning and technical support for the rig operations team.
*Participate in setting goals and objectives for new wells and subsequently actively ensure that these goals are met.
*Well planning which includes: well design, performing risk analysis, cost monitoring, analyzing drilling performance and capturing lessons learned / best practices for sharing with other members of the drilling team and for inclusion into future programs. Maintain and focus on safety. Incorporation new technology into well designs and operations.
*Participate in the further development of company standards and procedures to give a firm basis for safe operations and operational excellence.
*Good communication skills and close contact to service companies will be required. You will further be responsible for mentoring of Well Site Engineers and Drilling Engineers, and for ensuring consistency and quality in product.
Qualifications:
The successful applicant must have:
*An engineering degree or other higher technical educational background.
*A minimum of 8 years drilling engineering experience from the oil industry.
*Good communication skills in written and spoken English is a requirement.
