Applicants with the following skills and experience are welcome to apply at the earliest opportunity: Essential Job Experience: Well log analysis and petrophysics: log editing, shear prediction, fluid substitution and generation of petrophysical logs Rock physics modelling: generation, analysis and validation of rock physics models using acoustic and elastic properties and reservoir properties. Job Description

The successful candidate will have the responsibility to deliver petrophysical analyses within the asset including for all wells and utilizing all relevant acquired data, for well planning and post-drill data integration into static modeling. Their main focus will be optimising the static geomodel volumetrics, including specific cases of Norwegian Chalk fields detailed quantitative results of FWL and SW-H analyses. Key responsibilities will include: Load up and run basic well log interpretation suites. QC log data and service contractor performance. Ability to analyze and compare log data with core data. Assist and liaise on log programs and core programs. Design logging programs for approval. Assist in sub-surface teams as part of integrated studies workflows- prepare petrophysical summaries, assist in geosciences correlations, provide data for seismic upload. Plan and manage well logging activities in all asset wells, analyze information, evolve plans in collaboration with Reservoir Engineering team to manage hydrocarbon extraction with the objective to ensure cost effective extraction within subsurface guidelines. Conduct reliable quick-look analysis for decision making from initial field data. Be able to design detailed logging and coring programs, and be capable to conduct field wide QC and integration studies of log data from many wells. QC databases. QC log data and upload to variety of software systems. Conduct integrated studies with core data. Integrate data for modeling studies and uses by others. Present to JV at partner meetings. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in the analysis, interpretation and integration of geological data to calculate in place resource ranges. They should have a deep understanding of the geological uncertainties and experience contributing to a technical work and data acquisition program aimed at redu cing uncertainties. Candidates will have all the relevant experience on the industries software packages and be able to recommend new developments in that area that can help the company's technical work. All candidates should have an MSc in a Geoscience or related discipline. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading international oil company in their Stavanger office.
