Role This company are looking for a Principal Geophysicist to come on-board in Kuala Lumpur to help develop the current geosciences team on a variety of existing and new venture projects in many locations across the globe. You will use your technical ability to make sure all projects are completed to time and budget and this will give you the opportunity to work in a very hands on role. This company has a simple structure and you will be working alongside many like minded individuals on these very exciting projects. Skills and Experience The ideal Geophysicist will have around 15 years oil and gas experience from either an operator or a consultancy. You will have the ability to use many different forms of industry software and you will have very strong integrated geo-science skills that you can use to mentor and develop your team in Kuala Lumpur. You will also be involved in some business development and this will lead you to a good deal of international travelling. The main responsibility for these Research Geophysicists will be to conceive and develop new methods for noise attenuation and signal enhancement of seismic data. They will work with a broader team including processing geophysicists to develop, implement and deploy these technologies.
