The successful candidate will join an experienced and capable exploration team based in Stavanger and will work on the company's existing exploration assets and new venture opportunities. Ideal candidates will have experience of exploring within the North Sea region and have a sound understanding of the UKCS and NCS geology. A working knowledge of the petroleum geology in a variety of tectonic settings around the world, preferably with specific skills in rift basins and frontal fold belts. They will ideally have a proven record of data room and technical evaluations for farm-ins and be able to search for analogues among geological provinces and with the judgement to identify the best exploration opportunities. Candidates will ideally have a developed knowledge on the Kingdom and Petrel suites but this is not essential.
