Ideally looking for candidate with around 5-12 years experience in Ground engineering in Singapore and China/SE Asia.
Working within the Singapore Geotechnical Team, you will be primarily involved in providing geoenvironmental and geotechnical support on a variety of multidisciplinary engineering projects in Singapore as well as SE Asia and Glocally. The role is set in a multi project, multidisciplinary, multicultural environment. There will be ample opportunity to develop existing knowledge and potentially a technical specialism within the group framework.
Looking for candidates with broad Geotechnical experience, however, good expsure to Rail, Tunnelling, Buildings and underground built environment would be a strong advantage.
The role will involve providing input into geoenvironmental and geotechnical assessments and design from desk study through to construction. Typical responsibilities will include:
- Design and specification of ground investigations and site supervision for both geotechnical and contaminated land investigations;
- Production of drawings, specifications and reports and the supervision of junior members of the team
- Accountable for quality of own work to time and budget and those of team members as applicable
- Daily contact with other members of the group and other Arup staff
- Regular contact with site investigation contractors and external agencies
- Developing contacts with Clients
- Travel including some opportunity for overseas work
The candidate must be a team player with good interpersonal skills, an ability to work with minimum supervision and be keen to provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced members of the team.

- Ground Investigation techniques
- Supervision of field work activity, including organising and directing field operations
- Sampling and logging of soil and rock to professional/technical standards
- Scheduling of laboratory testing (geotechnical and contamination)
- Preparation of factual reports and desk studies
- Preparation of interpretative reports on both contamination and geotechnical aspects
- Preparation of remediation strategies and validation of remediation

Experience planning well evaluation programs, coordination of wire line log data post processing and core analyses programs, and well post-audit report writing.
? Expertise in a wide range of petrophysical techniques and integrated application of all petrophysical data types including wire-line and while-drilling logs, core analysis, and formation tests. ? Perform comprehensive petrophysical studies to support and improve reservoir characterization, working closely with geoscientists and engineers. ? Contribute to well proposal documents by assisting in the definition of well evaluation objectives and well logging (tool strings, operational, etc) and possible coring requirements. ? Participate in the planning and execution of formation evaluation programs to optimize project team objectives, particularly as a member of integrated project teams. ? Perform in-depth well specific and regional petrophysical studies, including full integration of core & log data. ? Work effectively both as a member of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. ? Perform administrative and operational tasks in an effective and efficient manner and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives. ? Able to visit well sites in Iraq, Yemen, Egypt and other assets of Kuwait Energy for quality control during log data acquisition. ? Editing and Quality control of log and core data. ? Perform “quick look” analyses in a variety of geological environments. ? Plan well test program.

My Client is an international Service company who specialize in Exploration and Production Oil and Gas projects. The Client is looking for a Petrophysicist to be based in Kuwait for a long term project. Due to new project, my client is looking to expand their team. The Petrophysicist will initially set up on a 12 month renewable contract.
The Petrophysicist will be required to:
-Experience with IOCs (Conoco, chevron ,shell, BP, etc.)
-Experience in tight oil and unconventional reservoirs
-Experience in carbonates mainly and sandstone reservoirs
-Worked in a multidiscipline team
-Experience in the development of complex reservoirs and fields that are newly transferred from exploration to development
-Experience and hands on with Geolog software
-Knowledgeable in rock physics
-Prepares logging programs and conduct the interpretation of theses logs, does cross sections, saturation height function, selects the RDT points and its interpretation, collection of bottom hole samples.
-Witnesses the logging jobs on the well site and coordinate for the jobs pre and post.
-More than 15 years of relevant experience
The Petrophysicist will be required to provide leadership for the standardization, conformance and consistency of petrophysical data and interpretation of subsurface data.
The Petrophysicist is required to mobilise to Kuwait at short notice to start the project. Accommodation and economy flights will be provided. In addition a driver for local travel will be required by my client.
