They are currently recruiting for the position of Reliability Engineer, based in Darwin. Job Description To provide direction to the operations in establishing focussed programs for gathering and analysing equipment performance and reliability related data and both directly and by facilitation ensure development and execution of reliability improvement actions. Give full support to the policies, goals efforts and programs of the Australasia Division, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system. Actively participate in implementation process of the HSE management and ensure that HSE issues are given primary consideration in all job activities/tasks undertaken within the area of responsibility. Unsafe acts and/or conditions no matter in what area of responsibility are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken. Take an active role in promoting HSE policy and initiatives with staff. Proactive in identifying and reporting safety issues within the office. Identify practical and sustainable reliability improvements and facilitate implementation. Review, refine and monitor use of existing toolsets for gathering analysing and disseminating performance reliability related data. Manage Lost Opportunity toolsets. Prioritise and track actions. Establish key indicators of reliability performance and improvement and ensure visibility to respective operations teams. Justify and manage procurement and commissioning of new Information systems if required targeted at identifying and delivering reliability improvement objectives Communicate objectives and activities of reliability improvement programs to site, discipline and support personnel. Be fully aware and take account of facility Safety Case and associated management system requirements when formulating plans and schedules. Actively participate in and/or establish networks with other Company operations targeted specifically at capturing opportunities for shared initiatives and/or ensuring lessons learned are carried into the Australasia operations Assist new projects with implementation of reliability assurance activities (including equipment specification, data management system requirements etc) Skills & Experience Engineering/Metallurgical or related Degree preferred. A high level of ability in written and spoken English. Familiarity with data collection and data analysis Advanced knowledge of SAP Considerable experience in similar role. Extensive experience in engineering/operations in high risk, technically challenging industrial environments relevant to support of the operations. A broad range of plant exposure is required. Strong process systems exposure and understanding required, including familiarity with associated hardware. Experience with root cause analysis and associated techniques. Experience with Defect Elimination and LPO This is a permanent position. The salary for this position is negotiable.
