Flow Assurance Engineer required for Nottingham based facillity Flow Assurance Engineer To execute flow assurance related engineering studies covering both steady state and dynamic simulations for different phases of offshore field development projects. To liaise/communicate/work with other disciplines and client representatives and be part of a project based engineering team. To provide flow assurance input in terms of work scope preparation to project bids and consultancy work proposals. Key Skills 1. Experience using FA software e.g. Pipesim, Pipesim-Net, OLGA, Multiflash, PVTSim. Other software skills like HYSYS and PRO II, GAP and other dynamic simulators FLOWMASTER, NATASHA, SPS would be advantageous. 2. Sound knowledge of multiphase flow modelling, heat transfer, fluid properties and characterisation and flow assurance operability issues like slugging, hydrates mitigation and remediation, wax management and sand transport. 3. Experience in working within a project team

Key Requirements

Provide petroleum engineering input to multi-disciplinary projects including field development planning, reservoir and well performance evaluation, production forecast and optimization, well placement, decision and risk analysis. •Analyse and feed information into business planning and reporting activities including group reserve reports. •Plan, initiate and coordinate relevant petroleum engineering studies and operations, and manage and supervise consultants as appropriate. •Provide petroleum engineering support for Exploration and New Venture projects in liaison with commercial and technical teams. •Participate in and coordinate technical presentations to the Executive Team, Management Team and external parties as required. •Assist in preparation of P&L Inventory as required, specifically reserves and development cost estimations. •Evaluate with others and select appropriate external oil service companies and consultants to support the company’s technical team.

Job Description

Given the senior nature of the role, it is imperative that this person has the technical experience and capability to ensure credibility both internally and externally. Broad Petroleum Engineering background with experience of working in an international context, within an operated oil company, preferably covering subsurface, operations and development projects. Well developed management skills that can be applied to integrated projects. A solid understanding of all aspects of hydrocarbon exploration and production. Strong communication skills with an ability to work within a matrix structure, as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems. Fully conversant with capabilities in other disciplines (e.g. reservoir engineering, production technology and Drilling, surface facility engineering, etc.) Understanding of the commercial aspects of the industry is an advantage. Able to handle multiple tasks and to balance level of detail and effort versus business impact and priorities.
