They are currently recruiting for the position of Lead Weight Control Engineer, based in London. Job Description Due to expansion of their European Unit, they are currently seeking a Senior/Lead Weight Control Engineer to lead and guide project weight control efforts and be involved in conceptual studies, optimisation work and FEEDs as part of a large team or the lead of a smaller team. This is an exciting opportunity with responsibilities to develop and document procedures for weight control on projects. Provide technical and supervisory support to all offshore projects Develop and implement weight control plans including, establishing system weight control processes, estimating system and component weights, assessing weight risk on systems, tracking and reporting weight status, implementing weight control and weight reduction plans and documenting and reporting the status of weight control efforts to project management. The position will interface with multiple engineering disciplines and will lead efforts, as required, to apply weight control methods for completed systems. Skills & Experience Engineering Degree or equivalent and Chartered Engineer. Experience in working in Oil and Gas development in a similar role Have a strong and up to date background in conceptual studies and FEED level offshore facilities design on major EPC projects Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable him/her to work in, and provide a cohesive role in, multiple-discipline groups at conceptual, FEED and EPC level. Possess a good working understanding of the disciplines that interface with topsides design i.e. subsea, jackets, drilling and reservoir technology. This role is for a permanent staff member, although, we may also consider agency or fixed-term-contract basis. This can be either a contract or a permanent position.
