Compile pre-job work packs. Technical authority for manufacture and machining. Compile route sheets. Prepare material requisitions for submission. Advise on cost, planning/scheduling and estimating for manufacture and machining work scopes. Liaise with customer as required. Undertake other relevant duties as requested by the Manufacturing Manager. Advising/assisting machinists.

Keep up to date and identify current and future trends in manufacturing and enhance business Decision making and judgment by: Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of trends in manufacturing, methodology and systems engineering. Developing an understanding of the company products, customers, competitors, and the business environment. Sharing information and ideas to enable others to build their understanding of manufacturing systems and the department's objectives. Contribute to the overall department plan by: Identifying and utilising opportunities and suggestions for improvements and growth. Proactively supporting company sales objectives and sales department enquiries. Building relationships with other departments, professional bodies suppliers and customers as required. Developing methods and processes to minimise manufacturing downtime. Providing engineering support to project team for the manufacture of prototype components. Assisting in the establishing of output targets based on machine cycle times and operator activity times ensuring continuous improvement in processes and improving manufacturing quality by reduction in process variations. Troubleshooting manufacturing processes and training operators where appropriate.
