    This position, within the EPIC Project Management Team, is responsible and accountable for reviewing and coordinating all detailed instrument/automation systems and telecommunications engineering related to the EPIC contracts.

    - Responsible for coordination of instrumentation/automation systems across the scopes of work to ensure seamless integration

    - Oversee instrumentation/automation engineering performed by EPIC contractors [including controls, telecommunications and integration] to ensure compliance with the specifications of the contract.

    - Propose/review design solutions, prepare/review data sheets, perform/review bid evaluations and advise on the instrumentation/automation systems portion of work for new for the field development.

    Skills & Experience

    - Either a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Instrument/Control preferred) with extensive experience of instrument design in all aspects of offshore production platform systems, or a HNC/HND qualification in Instrumentation, together with a time served apprenticeship and vast instrumentation experience in a hands on offshore production platform environment.

    - Extensive experience in automation and instrumentation systems - including considerable practical experience in design and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems for offshore topsides facilities.

    - Experience of ABB Infi90, GE Fanuc, Hima Sella shutdown systems, relay based logic panels, generic PLC operation, fibre optics, radio networks, multiplexer systems, CCTV, digital instrumentation, operator graphics displays, digital systems integration, RGT4000/5000 gas turbine generators, GE Fr5, GEC HMC 1072/1172 switchgear, would all be an advantage.

    - Experience of working as part of a multi discipline team for facilities engineering projects and/or offshore development projects.

    - Drafting and reviewing cost estimates, input to budget submissions

    - Understand all technical drawings with the ability to read and write control software to modify control/protection schemes and strategies or to direct and instruct sub-suppliers of the same.
