    Senior Instrument Engineer Location: GB-Lanarkshire-Glasgow Overview: Nuparc has an opportunity for a Senior Control and Instrument Engineer based in their clients Glasgow office. Working on concept, FEED and EPC projects primarily in the upstream oil and gas sector, the role shall encompass the execution of control systems and instrumentation scope on projects. Work shall be carried out in accordance with relevant standards and procedures under a quality management system within man-hour and cost budgets and within project schedules. The ideal candidate shall be a highly motivated engineer, able to work unsupervised and as part of a discipline and overall project team and have demonstrable leadership qualities. The candidate shall be degree qualified and ideally a chartered engineer with strong technical and organisational skills. The candidate shall have had previous experience executing control and instrumentation project work in the oil and gas industry. The role offers the opportunity for career advancement either within technical discipline engineering or project engineering. The candidate shall report to the chief control and instrument engineer and shall be assigned to a project taskforce. The candidate may be required to work independently, or under a project lead engineer or may work in the role of lead engineer supervising a team of engineers and designers. When at Site, supervise field Instruments and control systems Commissioning activities which included loop checking and testing of all I/O points from the field instruments directly to the DCS, ESD and FGS Systems; 13. Involvement in Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning document preparation and review; 14. Carry out control loops tuning during start up – participation to start-ups; 15. Participates in Mechanical Completion walk-downs and punch list close out when at Site as support to Construction; 16. Perform Site verification of the PCS (Process Control System) and PSS (Process shutdown System) while utilizing the Cause and Effect Matrix documents. This includes Process, ESD and F&G systems by preparing report work progress supported by documents and test reports; 17. Review Contractor/Vendor design change request and submitted technical recommendations; 18. Participate in equipment inspection to ensure conformance withproject specifications, and assist in resolution of discrepancies.
