    Salary/Rate - £18.55 per hour + Overtime + 33 days holiday paid at 1.33 basic rate

    Our Client is a leader in subsea oil and gas manufacturing business based in Leeds. They serve a global market across the oil & gas exploration and production industry.


    Due to our client increase in work demand We are currently looking to recruit a number of apprentice trained Pipe fitter / instrument pipefitters for long term contracts.

    Ideal candidates will be from the Yorkshire area or be able to commute to this area on a daily basis and have previous Pipefitting experience within an subsea or oil and gas industry . These roles are paid via PAYE only.

    These roles are open to engineers with extensive experience and knowledge of pipefitting / Instrument Pipefitter and ideally from subsea / oil and gas or machine tools background. Suitable candidates must be able to work on a continental shift / Double Days running from Monday to Friday. Our client is based, centrally to Leeds, but with great access to the M1 and M62

    Tasks, responsibilities and competencies:

    -The position is workshop based at our client facility based in Leeds.

    -Must be able to install pipe work systems and instrumentation from relevant drawings/hook-ups and be able to work efficiently under their own initiative.

    -Bending tubing, fitting ferrules, connecting tubing using compression fittings and installing in control skids for offshore applications as per engineering drawings

    -Layout and installation of various size instrument tubing from ¼" to 1"
    -Fabrication and installation of supports, braces, and hangers for tube tray
    -Layout and installation of instrument stands and supports
    -Mounting and installation of instrument devices

    -Must be capable and confident in working directly with clients and conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in a professional manner.
    -Understanding of principles of measurement as applied to instrumentation
    -Able to read drawings

    -The position requires a degree of flexibility on the part of the applicant to suit varying workloads and thus they must also be capable and willing to assist with other non-pipefitting

    Qualifications:

    -Recognised Apprenticeship.
    -Swagelok certification and experience - Preferred
    -Hoke or Parker A-Lok experience (Preferred).

    Key deliverables:


    -Ideally you will have worked in an subsea environment (but not essential) and be suitably qualified to work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
