    Our client is seeking an Instrument Commissioning Engineer - to be based in Grangemouth - UK, to work on one of their major global projects.

    Start date: ASAP

    Work schedule: 40 hours/week

    Work Location: Grangemouth

    Role Synopsis:

    The post of Instrument Commissioning Engineer will be based at the Operating site in Grangemouth and will report to the Ops & Commissioning Manager. The site is currently undergoing a significant refurbishment programme with both green and brown field development. This position is required to support the new build commissioning activity.
    The project programme is being fast tracked to completion with a start-up date of 2Q 2017. Successful candidates will require to be released immediately from their current role for a 1Q 2016 start date.

    Key Accountabilities:

    - Deliver optimum HSE performance within the commissioning team ensuring all commissioning activity is carried out safely and with minimum impact to the environment & local communities.
    * Act as line supervisor for a multi-skilled squad of commissioning technicians.
    * Fulfil Control of Work responsibilities within the Electronic Control of Work system (eCoW).


    Essential Criteria:

    - Demonstrable track record and competency in commissioning roles with proven leadership skills.
    * Proven track record in setting expectations and delivering high standards of HSSE performance, specifically bringing a commissioning insight to project engineering, construction and start-up activities.
    * Ability to engage and work with operations personnel, stakeholders and project contractors / suppliers.
    * A strong sense of urgency to get the job done.
    * Excellent facilitation skills with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the project.
    * Good understanding of safety management for commissioning and have demonstrated personal commitment to Safety.
    * Proven track record of performing within a multi-disciplined team, including the ability to respond effectively to dynamically changing situations.
    * Demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement.

    Desirable Criteria:

    - Knowledge of Brown Field Completions System.
    * Previous exposure to a project environment.
    Competencies:
    * Instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent education / experience supported by substantial field experience.

DURATION:12 months POSITION SCOPE The role is to progress to a Subsea Commissioning focus within the Subsea Team (Aberdeen), with a high degree of collaboration with FPSO team and Contractor (Singapore) with the aim of developing a truly integrated Hook up and Commissioning programme. This development is envisaged to continue through 2016 / 2017, and FPSO arrival in field. Multiple trips to Singapore are a requirement of the role. It is further envisaged that within 2017, Subsea Commissioning Offshore representatives will join the team, and this role will be onshore support to these key team members. Subsea Commissioning Engineer is responsible for the development of the Subsea content of the Integrated Hook up and Commissioning procedures in collaboration with Subsea and FPSO team and supporting Contractors to IFC. Responsible for providing support to the Subsea Offshore Commissioning representatives. The role requires international travel on a frequent basis.
