    Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Electrical Commissioning Engineer, based initially in Hartlepool & subsequently Offshore

    Responsibilities will include:
    Champion QHSE across the project
    Liaise with the Company and detailed design Contractor teams to ensure Commissioning considerations are included in detailed design.
    Preparing the commissioning scope and execution plans as directed by lead discipline commissioning engineers.
    Advise Lead Commissioning Engineers of any issues that may cause delays to MC, PC and commissioning activities.
    Provide detailed requirements for vendor support during Commissioning activities.
    Prepare tools, consumables, lubes and first fills, Commissioning and Pre Operations spares to support the commissioning schedule.
    Prepare commissioning procedures.
    Prepare Master commissioning documents and ensure as builts are completed.
    Identification of support labour required to support Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
    Familiarisation on the Project Completions database (CMS) functionality and reporting tools.
    Liaising with the Completions Manager on certification issues.
    Use the MoC processes.
    Provide updates to Lead Commissioning Engineer on a daily / weekly basis and advise where issues need to be resolved.
    Management of multi discipline commissioning team work activities and ensure standards are met. Implementation of dynamic commissioning in conjunction with commissioning team.
    Validate by system the certification database prior to issue requirements to Construction teams.
    Validate by system the certification database the Pre-commissioning ITR requirements prior to issue.
    Monitor MC database and progress of MC scope. Expedite MC scope for Systems

    Qualifications & Experience
    Extensive experience in oil and gas industry or similar industry, in an project or operations role.
    Higher National / Degree Qualified
    Extensive completions and commissioning experience
    Significant experience at similar level
    Extensive hands on experience of commissioning new process and utilities and facilities.
    Broad appreciation of all offshore systems and logistics
    Knowledge of construction and commissioning requirements and setting up of procedures
    Familiarity with offshore & onshore permit and work processes.
    PC application skills - Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

    Job Description

    The role is to be the Senior Project Engineer responsible for project scopes within the Plutonium Contaminated Material(PCM) Decommissioning Programme. The Programme contains three projects: PCM Decommissioning Project; PCM Facilities Remediation (Demolition) Project; Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Project.

    The PCM Decommissioning Programme has overall approval in principle (circa £100M over 5 years) with the PCM Decommissioning Project fully sanctioned at £64M. The PCM Facilities Remediation Project has sanction for the definition phase (£1.4M). The role will oversee the full project lifecycle including planning, decontamination and demolition; change and risk management, reporting internally and externally and project close out. Typical scope of works will include decontamination of legacy PCM facilities, removal of active ventilation systems, waste management and facility demolition.

    The role will be to manage a multi-disciplined team often working under the supervision of a Senior Project Manager or above demonstrating project leadership in their area of responsibility with the ability to successfully perform on projects or work packages of minor complexity up to £1M. In addition, this role will require being the nominated deputy for the Senior Project Manager, which will require ongoing support in managing the overall Programme.

    - ONC, HNC or similar in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Facility Management or other relevant discipline OR demonstrated equivalent combination of education training and experience.

    - Record of proven performance as a Senior Project Engineer on previous projects.

    - Capable of performing as a Senior Project Engineer on a medium risk, medium to high complexity project.

    - Consistently demonstrates the ability to proactively identify potential problems or opportunities, analysis the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems and exploit opportunities.
