    Installation Engineer required OEM, providing system installation supervision and site management for the installation of larger MBR Waste Water Systems on cruise ships, Military and various other platforms including offshore rigs and in shipyards on a global basis. Main responsibilities will include carrying out on site installation supervision and management of contractors and shipyard staff, to install and retrofit equipment and systems. Duties also to include undertake site surveys/ assessments and subsequent timely reports/feedback. Candidates will assist the engineering department and customers with mechanical - electrical installation, planning and design; and provide input for the improvement of company systems, specifications, installation and operational procedures. Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential; self-motivation and the ability to demonstrate the highest standards of customer care are key elements to this role. Good team working ability and skills are needed and the ability to work alone is essential. Candidates must be willing to undertake frequent and sometimes extended periods of work overseas. When attending retrofit projects they must be willing to work for periods up to 6-8 weeks or longer. Where a shipyard attendance is required, the normal duration will be 2-3 weeks. Candidate should also be willing to assist with general service work as and when necessary. Candidates will have a good general mechanical/electrical engineering background and experience of working with Waste Water Treatment systems and pumping systems. They will also have a proven track record of people / team management ideally being subcontractor management. A basic understanding/knowledge of electrical control systems, electronic and PLC control systems will be an advantage. Finally a qualification in marine or industrial engineering to HNC/D or equivalent level is required, together with previous experience and product knowledge.
