    Job Description

    - Ensure the transfer of the installation to Field Operations team for Commissioning.

    - Coordinate all instrumentation activities relative to pre-commissioning.

    - Participate in the preparation & revision of the pre-commissioning documentation.

    - Liaise with the QA/QC to ensure that RFI test reports and NCR are closed out.

    - Prepare and review of pre-commissioning procedures, checks, test, mechanical installation of instruments in line with the P&ID, etc, and supervise these activities on field.

    - Ensure that inspection and continuity tests are carried out in safe and controlled manner.

    - Sign off pre-commissioning tests, checks sheets and verify ICAPS database progress.

    - Witness and participate in Vendor site activities.

    - Ensure that planning, coordination, execution and follow up of all pre-commissioning activities are done in strict compliance with the specifications:

    - Conformity checks

    - Monitor instrumentation device, checks and testing

    - Instrument and electrical equipment checks and testing

    - Attending and generating punch list as a part of mechanical completion, checks and test activities. Ensure there are no category A punch list items at the end of pre-commissioning activities.

    - Liaise with Construction and Commissioning teams.

    - Prepare progress reports on all commissioning activities.

    - Attend and participate in meetings upon request.

    Skills & Experience

    - Degree qualified or equivalent in Electrical or Instrumentation engineering.

    - Broad knowledge in instrumentation construction and pre-commissioning procedures.

    - Extensive experience in construction in Oil & Gas and at least considerable experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning.

    - Previous successful experience of a complete pre-commissioning (commissioning, punch list and closeout).

    - Multi-discipline experience due to direct involvement with other disciplines.

    - As-built documentation for system completion.

    - Excellent communication and coordination skills are required for this service.

    - Computer Literacy.

    This is a contract position.

He has worldwide experience in managing commissioning teams on site in accordance with the policy defined by the Project Management Team to ensure the fulfilment of the objectives established in the project. 10-15 years of experience in commissioning industrial/power systems, of which at least 10 years in a management position. ? Manage the commissioning program for the main contractor's scope of work. Write the Commissioning Plan and other master commissioning documents. Also serves as the primary contact with the Engineer for coordinating and scheduling the commissioning program and chairs the commissioning coordination and progress meetings. ? Lead a team to undertake Pre-operational testing, start up and Commissioning activities related to the Power Plant and all related auxiliaries in a safe and prudent manner, in keeping with industry standards and OEM requirements. ? Develop the Project Commissioning Plan. The Commissioning Plan provides direction for the execution of the commissioning process during the construction, inspection, start-up, testing, turnover, warranty runs of the project. ? Develop Commissioning Procedures to Client specifications. ? Involved within commissioning contracts in the early stages of commissioning planning and the management of the mechanical electrical and I&C ? Completion and commissioning of systems and setting up of commissioning database to allow accurate job work packs to be raised and accurate tracking of systems for planning. ? Communicating with equipment vendors and technical consultants to resolve complex issues concerning new technology and upgrades of equipment. ? Good coordination and project management skills with ability to drive the project completion teams as per scheduled targets to deliver specifications accordingly and in duly time. ? Knowledge in health and safety. The Candidate ? Experience Required: 10-15 Years ? Engineering Degree ? Experience in at least 1 large CCGT Power Plant with a minimum 500MW capacity ? Worked for a large EPC contracting firm ? International experience and able to work with multi-national workforce ? Successful completion of projects within time schedule and budgets ? Well familiar with Power Plant Equipment manufacturers, products and its technical features ?
