    Job Description

    - Focal point for all petrophysical data acquisition.

    - Provide input to well proposals, well functional specifications etc. in line with subsurface team's data acquisition strategy for optimization of well delivery; ensuring compliance to all assurance processes.

    - Design data acquisition programs for standard and non-standard petrophysical data including fluid sampling and analysis.

    - Closely work with fluid sampling team (FEAST) in developing pressure and sampling programs.

    - QC, analyse and interpret all logging data (>40 runs per yr).

    - Support pore pressure, fracture pressure and temperature gradient predictions in line with Company's global guidelines and assurance processes.

    - Provide input to core analysis programs.

    - Contribute to End of Well Reports.

    - Responsible for QC and storing data in appropriate databases; ensure final data is sent to partners and regulatory agencies as required.

    - Identification and (if justified) implementation of new petrophysical technologies and best practices for log data acquisition.

    - HSSE and Contract management.

    - To take the role of contract holder for multi-million dollar logging contract and core analysis contract.

    - Support contract plan, strategies and evaluate logging tenders if required.

    - Manage the HSE, operational, commercial and technical performance of the contractor by doing audit and inspections, propositions, monitoring, service quality meetings and management of budget.

    - Act as advocate for Personal and Process Safety in offshore and log base operations and ensure all relevant DEPs are followed.

    - Providing coaching to less experienced local staff.

    - Working in a truly integrated way, closely interfacing with major organizations and key service contractors.

    Skills and Experience

    - Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications and skills:

    - BSc in Applied Sciences/Engineering with moderate Operations Petrophysicist experience, including the planning, design and drilling of wells.

    - Skill with different facets of Petrophysics (operational, study/evaluation, contracting).

    - Prior experience with carbonate reservoir data acquisition and evaluation.

    - Candidate would ideally have experience in development of large gas/condensate fields.

    - Prior experience in contributing to/compiling technical documents (e.g. well proposal, basis of design, PP/FG evaluation, mud-logging and coring programs, EOWR).

    - Skilled in use of Techlog for Petrophysical evaluation.

    - Team Worker with good communication skills - ability to communicate complex technical issues and present clearly and concisely to management and government organisations.

    - Experience with coaching of less experienced staff is desired.

    - Experience with external stakeholder management.

    - Experience in managing HSE, performance improvement and innovative use of technology/practices.

    This is a contract position.
