    Refinery & Petrochemical Facilities Planning Consultant for major operative company in Saudi Arabia

    As the Refinery & Petrochemical Facilities Planning Consultant, you would be working in the Facilities Planning Department; which is responsible for the development and coordination of capital programs and planning/upgrading existing Refining and Petrochemical facilities.

    The successful candidate will be a Senior or Principal Process Engineer with a strong background conducting feasibility studies on refining/petrochemical facilities and long-term business strategies related to these facilities; as well as performing process/system and economic analysis of existing and potential new refining/petrochemicals operations.

    Requirements

    - Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering. A Professional Engineer (P.E) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration would be desirable but is not essential.

    - Fifteen (15) years of professional experience, as a specialist within refining and petrochemicals, focused on planning with related in experience in technical support of operations and detailed design; with at least 5 years experience in refinery operations

    - Previous experience in performing economic evaluations and feasibility studies, and preparing requests for budgetary approvals.

    - Directing professional consultants in planning and executing engineering studies.

    - Applying and analyzing process/system simulation and economics of refining/petrochemical operations.

    - Providing direct technical support to operations.

    - Must be able to demonstrate previous planning and execution of engineering studies.

    - Technical support and/or design in an EPC environment.

    - Must be able to demonstrate the ability to prepare budgetary reports and deliver technical presentations to Corporate Management.

    Process Engineer with experience in "heavy ends" processing technologies including hydroprocessing in Saudi Arabia.

    As the Process Engineer (Hydrotreating/hydrocracking) you will be providing research and technological development to my clients refining operations and provide technical support to refining operatives. You will design experimental programs, run pilot plants (i.e., bench scale and micro-reactor), evaluate data and provide reports, monitor commercial conversion unit operations in support of research programs. You will also develop kinetic modeling to assess in scaling-up the data generated from pilot plant testing.

    Requirements

    - B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or a related subject from an accredited university.

    - Ten (10) years of post-graduate work experience with a least eight years of experience in "heavy ends" process/catalyst development, which must be in industrial research and/or technology development.

    - A minimum of 2 years of experience in refining operations.

    - Extensive experience in pilot plant program development, operation, data evaluation and reporting.

    - Knowledge of process simulators (i.e. HYSIS and PROII), process design experience in a plus.

    - Catalyst testing, evaluation and analysis/characterization

    - Standard analytical methods/advance analytical techniques including GC-MS, GC by compound specification

    - Knowledge of Microsoft Project software.

    - A good command of oral and written English, and excellent skills in computer and presentation skills.
