Job Overview: Working for a leading provider of advanced wellsite and laboratory services to the mineral and hydrocarbon Industries you will support their growing demand for core analysis services. The main focus of this role is to perform multiple services on rock samples at the wellsite involving structural geology, core description, and basic core processing. Some laboratory core analysis may be required in the UK. Applicants are invited with a background in structural geology, experience in core analysis and some wellsite experience. Full training in the Companys core analysis services and associated tools will be provided. The Company undertake a range of analytical projects on behalf of their clients globallythey have developed some unique tools for sampling and analysing core and you will be trained in the use and application of these tools and will overtime become an expert user Candidate Requirements: Experience in the oil and gas industry preferably at the wellsite analysing geological features on cores (fracture description, core reorientation, stereographic projection). Proven experience performing services on rock samples at the wellsite involving structural geology, core description, and basic core processing highly desired. Previous experience using core cutting or core data recording tools highly advantageous.This is an exciting and challenging role for a self-motivated individual able to travel internationally to conduct wellsite core analysis. An Expanding operator with a 5 year plans to double production within their International assets, is looking to hire a a dedicated Senior Geologist for their operations in both UKCS and West Africa. My clients International offices are based in Aberdeen they are one of the top ten largest operators in the UKCS, operating 99% of their assets. As a Senior Geologist working in this area you will be part of and work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including the field Geophysicists and Reservoir Engineers. Your job will be to maintain production of assets, seek and generate prospects through evaluation for in-field drilling, near field exploration and bringing existing prospects to production. This role will be key to the success of the team moving forward and you will be expected to plan work schedules, lead projects and and provide leadership and coordination to the team. As a Senior Geologist you will have proven experience in production/development and exploration. You will have skills in Reservoir characterisation, reservoir mapping and geological model building and be familiar with software's such as Landmark & Petrel. Candidates with upwards of 7 years experience can be considered for this role. EU Citizenship or equivalent to work in the UK would be extremely beneficial.

Senior Geologist \ Geomodeler - Expat The Senior Geologist \ Geomodeler will be the overall technical anchor of the Geoscience Group. This includes building static models of both clastic and carbonate reservoirs and supervising the geoscience team. Responsibilities also include initiating, conducting and supervising technical studies. You must have extensive experience with sequence stratigraphic analysis, core description including facies and sedimentological interpretation, geological interpretation of seismic data. Understanding of data acquisition procedures at well site will be an advantage. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE LEGAL RIGHT TO WORK IN THE EU The chosen candidate will be undertaking projects varying from field development planning, asset evaluation, competent person audits, E.O.R. projects, CO2-sequestration, Tight Gas and redetermination studies You will be frequently involved in exploration as well as development projects and are expected to have strong experience in a wide range of geological settings, including deepwater turbidites, tight formations, shale gas, and lithologies like clastics, (fractured) carbonates and chalks. A global operator is currently searching for a Senior VSP Geophysicist to work from their offices in France and provide Geophysical expertise in VSP techniques within the non-conventional geophysics unit, to their subsidiaries across the world. The unit is in charge of designing, supervising, processing and interpreting all Gravity, Magnetics, passive or microSesimic, Electromagnetic and VSP surveys, conducted by the subsidiaries to explore new prospects. Being the senior geophysicist in charge of the VSP techniques, you work within the Non-conventional geophysics unit, your main responsibilities include: - Preparing budgets for future acquisition surveys, in liaison with the subsidiaries. - Advising geophysical management at headquarters and in subsidiaries, and recommending innovative acquisition and processing solutions. - Conducting VSP feasibility studies and preparing technical specifications and survey planning, in line with Totals HSE standards. - Preparing invitations to tender, negotiating and selecting contractors in liaison with the headquarters and subsidiary units concerned. - Preparing VSP acquisition operational plans, organising start up technical audits for acquisition surveys and supervising operations observing quality, deadline and cost requirements. - Organising and developing the software and computer environment giving access to the state of the art techniques in modeling, processing and interpretation of VSP data. - Doing and /or Supervising VSP data processing and interpretation. - Participating in the integration of results and joint interpretation with existing geophysical (usually 3D seismic) data and with other disciplines (geology and reservoir engineering, drilling and completion) - Exploring and internally promoting new VSP equipments, techniques and methodologies. Participating in R&D internal developments or collaborative works with external organisations. Publishing and/or presenting activities and results at various international conventions. - Develop and disseminate VSP knowledge and skills throughout the company by internal presentation and training course activities. - Evaluating future needs and monitoring market developments through conventions, publications and close relations with geophysical contractors. - Training and mentoring junior geophysicists. To apply for this role my client is looking for an experienced VSP (processing, modeling and interpretation) specialist. You will have: - Hands-on experience of VSP acquisition possibly including design of permanent arrays or down hole sources, field experiments and field staff supervision will be highly appreciated. - Experience of shale gas field development or hydro fracturing monitoring or field depletion monitoring is wellcome. - Practical experience in the use of VSP for reservoir characterisation would be appreciated. - Practical knowledge in Geomechanics would be appreciated. Due to the location EU citizens or equivalent would be looked upon favourably but International candidates can be considered with the right expertise.
