Change International are currently recruiting for a Rig Manager for a conventional drillship operating in Asia. This could be a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Toolpusher to take the step up, or for an experienced Rig manager to secure a new position. Due to the fact that the rig sare going to be working in the Gulf of Mexico, only US Nationals will be considered.The following experience is essential for this role:* Minimum of 3 years as Senior Toolpusher or minimum of 18 months as Rig Manager* Experience on conventional drilling equipment, and content to stay on a conventional rig* Minimum of 5 years experience working on deepwater drilling rigs, drillships or semi-subsThe role itself will consist of the following:* Supervise all daily rig operations, ensure they are carried out safely and efficiently* Responsibility for ensuring rig positioning * Plan all rig activities, order any supplies required for both planned and preventative maintenance* Carry out daily meetings with the crew* Liaise with client representatives on site to ensure that work is carried out according to requirements* Complete reports and paperwork associated with the rig activities* Work closely with the Drilling Superintendent to coordinate drilling operations* Identify training and promotion opportunities for the drill crew on board the rig.* Budgeting for the rig.In order to be successful in your application you must have the following:* OIM Licence, USGC unrestricted* High School Diploma

The Role: The consultancy currently seeks to appoint a Senior Drilling Engineer / Manager to play an integral role in the Aberdeen office. Based predominantly on-shore, this is a non-operational role which will see you take responsibility for the management of a large existing drilling team. You are likely to get involved in and manage the following:- - The preparation of drilling engineering input to clients for the screening and evaluation phase of new opportunities and prepare drilling programmes. - Field development planning (e.g. linking slots to targets). - Feasibility studies/recommendations on infill wells; ERD & subsea; sand control; etc. - Economic Screening estimates/Costs + Drilling Operations supervision. - Researching and preparing cost estimates for client drilling operations. - Interfacing with teams and appropriate vendor community personnel in attaining optimum processes and services in planning for the cost efficient wells development. - Generating AFEs for clients as appropriate. - Consulting on or managing well operations performance. - Analysing relevant data and presenting observations and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to improve operational and cost efficiency and preparing regular well reports. Looking after drill service contracts, you will oversee the establishment and administration of drilling and service contracts for clients, whilst also taking responsibility for a number of regulatory processes, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements for all well construction activities. You: The ideal individual will demonstrate both North Sea and international drilling engineering experience of over 10 years. Academically, you must possess a degree in a relevant engineering subject, and be extremely literate. You must be able to work both autonomously, utilising your own initiative, and as part of a project team. Familiarity with drilling software and new technological developments is a pre-requisite, and business development skills would be an advantage. My client is a well known UK Operator with offices in London and Aberdeen. They currently seek to appoint a Well Team Leader to join them in the London office. The Role: With a team of Drilling Engineers and Technicians for whom you will be accountable, you will report directly to the Operations Manager. You will oversee the provision of technical, operational and commercial expertise in the preparation for, execution of and reporting on well operations. You will be tasked with providing a safe, cost effective well construction programme and to monitor the execution of the programme. Key responsibilities will include: - Preparation of technical and commercial sections of ITTs and analysis of returned bids for the selection of drilling rigs and third party services. - Liaison with client sub-surface team / management to define and agree the well objectives. - Well design including casing, directional, fluids, cementing, bits and hydraulics programming. - Preparation and approval of well construction programmes. - Liaison with key third party contractors. - Preparation of data for statutory submissions to regulatory authorities. - Preparation of and participation in risk assessment, hazard analysis and DWOP processes. - Preparation and processing of probabilistic models for well engineering projects. - Monitoring of daily cost tracking. - Keeping abreast of current health, safety and environmental legislative requirements. - Proactive management of all third party supply contracts - Supervision and management of direct reports. Experience: The ideal individual will possess an Engineering degree along with extensive offshore experience.
