Job Description
My client is a global oilfields service company and they're currently looking for an Internationally experienced offshore Drilling Engineer/Supervisor to Project Manage operations of the coast of Ecuador. Having recently won a number of projects with the state owned oil company they have a number of places to fill this being one of them.
The Main responsibilities for this role are: -
Monitoring compliance and operational activities as indicated in the well drilling program as well as the planning and coordination of operations on site and daily reports, including the following activities:
-
Monitoring that the activities inherent to the nature of the services are reported fully and truthfully verifiable.

Direct supervision of situations prevention and well control.
-
Inventory control of tubular pipes, drill collars and other equipment.
-
Monitoring, recording and continuous analysis of all parameters of well control.
-
Monitoring of fishing operations in the event that they are tools in the well (records, strings, etc..).

Verification of the correct number of tubes and pipes of the same measure.

Verification of the correct placement of the plugs of displacement in the cement head, also the correct positioning of the centralizers, checking the operation of personal flotation devices, before the casing run after run of the pipe with approved program ORNCEM .

Spot verification of the installation of the BOP's, head, seals and casing pressure test in accordance with good drilling Practices and drills. Monitoring and periodic testing recommendation of the BOP's.

Supervision Inspection and mast winch before hitting with scissors or stuck pipe stress.

Piping design review, review and calibration of the pipes supplied by Petroecuador.

Follow up drilling of the various sections, mud and hydraulic properties of the bit, as the program approved by Petroecuador.

Monitoring the functioning of the solids control equipment and designs more consistent mesh according to the conditions.

Strict compliance with the approved drilling program and quality control of services by third parties in the transaction, according to existing contracts, including the rig. Documentation of the results obtained for the continuous improvement process.
My client is looking for someone to live and work in Quito. While housing benefits will not be available salary would be extremely competitive. They are looking for someone who would be able to commit to a minimum of 2 years working this project.
