Our client a Global Oil & Gas Service company currently requires a Senior Electrical and Instrument Designer. This is an on-going contract position based in Aberdeen. Job Description: Production of mainly instrument design deliverables from base information provided by engineering. Capable of working with minimal supervision to work on the clients contract. The role will predominantly be as a senior instrument designer but the individual should be able to take on electrical design as required. Preparation of design deliverables using an appropriate CAD package. Ability to undertake unsupervised offshore surveys is essential for this position. Health and Safety Responsibilities: Education & Qualifications: ONC/HNC Specific Training / Specialist Skills: Experience: Microstation/AutoCad/Excel/Word. Documentum + Microsoft Office Applications. Must have or be prepared to acquire valid UK offshore medical & survival certificates. Liaison with engineers to ensure design deliverables are produced accurately and on time. Peer checking of E & I Design deliverables. Carry-out offshore surveys as part of the design scope of work. Mentoring and developing associate design personnel. Capable of working with minimal supervision. Personal Skills: Minimum of 5 years in similar position in Oil & Gas or similar Industry Capable of undertaking offshore surveys unsupervised.
