    Your day to day job duties will include;

    Identifying areas of technology of interest and relevance and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base within the company in the chosen technologies.

    Ensuring the delivery of the technical content of a project or projects

    Ensuring that all projects work to the expected technical standards and benefit from the highest level of technical expertise within the company.

    Working with the Technical Manager on the planning of strategy, skills training and investment areas for the department.

    Supporting the business development process by contributing to presentations and providing the technical view during client discussions.

    Supervising the work of a team of engineers and mentor engineering staff where required.

    Support CIP process on existing areas of business to maximise efficiency and technical delivery.

    To be suited to this job you should ideally have skills and/or experience in the following;

        - High level of technical skills with proven track record in engine development.

        - Proven understanding of combustion processes for diesel and gasoline including experience of appropriate fuelling systems.

        - Team leader with the personal commitment and ability to inspire and motivate a team of people to achieve a common goal within very aggressive timescales.

        - Ability to focus on technical requirements and communicate these clearly.

        - Good communication skills with other managers and departments to ensure they support programmes with the required effort and resources.

    - Keen personal interest in the subject matter.
