Principal Consultant-Water Resources

Location: Shanghai

Our client is a leading environmental consultancy providing sustainable solutions to the Global Fortune 100 companies across the world.

As part of the ongoing expansion in their Shanghai global sustainability and climate change team, they currently have an opening for a Principal Consultant to take a lead on technical and strategic integrated water resource management projects across the country.

You will be responsible to work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver a broad range of services in the fields of corporate water sustainability, such as industrial and process water efficiency, water risk awareness-building, the development of water sustainability strategies and the water stress assessments. As this is a senior level role, you will also need to take on the management, supervision and training responsibility for junior consultants to carry out project tasks.

To be successful for this role, you should possess:

*Bachelor degree or above in water resources management or the relevant environmental subjects.
*A minimum of 10 years experience in the fields of integrated water resource management, such as carrying out the water efficiency audits and industrial water balances.
*Experience with water stress modelling and water footprinting techniques is an advantage
*Excellent understanding of the business context of water, including an appreciation for direct and indirect water flows through value chains and the business risks associated with supply interruption
*Good knowledge of water efficiency technologies and water reduction strategies in a range of industry sectors.
*Excellent communication and management skill
*High proficiency in English is a must as this role requires proposal writing.
*Capable of speaking Mandarin is advantageous but this is not essential.
