Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical diploma/degree
Minimum 5 - 15 years of drilling experience
Experience in casing and well design in exploration type wells and horizontal resource shale gas plays is essential
Background in directional drilling is essential
Job Description
Responsible for preparation of cost estimates, scheduling, planning, permitting, and design of detailed drilling programs
Provisioning of day-to-day technical and analytical support during all phases of drilling operations
Accountability for driving cost efficiencies, tracking and reporting on cost and operations performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the companies policies and values
Mentoring of Jr Engineering staff, providing assistance with technical design, planning, goal setting, performance management and personal development
The applicant should be prepared to work in a fast-paced work environment with an emphasis on timely delivery, cost consciousness, interactive work style and safe execution
This position will primarily be based in the Calgary office with the occasional requirement to travel to field locations for meetings and field support
