    Lead Engineer - IRM & Light-Construction - Brazil - Staff SPENCER OGDEN have an exclusive opportunity for a well-experienced Project Engineer to join one of the world's fastest-growing subsea services Companies in their new Brazil office and work on projects covering IRM, light-construction and Seabed intervention in the South American Oil & Gas market. Having developed themselves as a key player in the Offshore Installation and Maintenance industry, my client have won a number of contracts to provide IRM and Intervention services that will keep them busy for the whole of 2015. They will also be acquiring a number of Installation projects and there is a plan to develop the business rapidly. The candidate : - - The suitable candidate should have an Engineering Degree, related to the Oil & Gas industry - Mechanical, Marine,Hydraulic. - A minimum or as close to 10 years Engineering experience in the Subsea Oil & Gas or Renewables Industries covering projects covering any of the following; PIPELINE, CABLE AND SURF INSTALLATION, CONSTRUCTION, INSPECTION, REPAIR & MAINTENANCE (IRM), ROVs, TRENCHING, pING, SURVEY, SEABED INTERVENTION. - Portuguese speaking preferably, although not essential. - Strong leadership skills and able to mentor and supervise groups of Junior Engineers. Responsibilities : - - You will have overall responsibility for keeping assigned activities within the given scope of work, functional specifications and department quality standards, and ensuring expectations of the clients are being met. - As a lead Engineer you will coach and support the team including junior and senior engineers during the execution of the work. - Using your senior knowledge, you maybe required to act as a technical authority for an engineering discipline and will be required to account to the client and operations team. - Develop and put together the project plan, procedures and analysis, distributing it amongst all relevant stakeholders. - Input to tenders and business development opportunities. - Responsible for use of best practice / lessons learned, and development of correct technical focus within the project. - Responsible for interface management both external and internal - Be able to independently make decisions and/or justifications for all technical matters in the project -Ensure HSE focus in all engineering activities For more information about this specific role please contact our Glasgow Office
